Grass went from bare spots to green within a week. I put seeds down and added topsoil and with watering for a couple days it was growth in a week. It was easy to use.

Pennington is a good alternative to Scott's brand lawn products. Pennington is good quality and the price is generally less than the price of Scott's. I like this seed because it is specifically intended for my geographic region.

I've used this seed before with great results. DON'T OVERWATER!! The price for a 7- pound bag can't be beat.

This is the only grass seed that I use on my lawn for it grow fast and rich color

product worked as advertised. if you prepare soil correctly and cover seed in fine layer of peat moss , you will have emerald green lawn sprouts in 7 days. must water every day.

This spring I threw this seed mix down, under a giant oak tree, and didn't do anything special to protect it, or help it thrive. I am pleasantly surprised to report the grass has taken very well, and it appears it will soon fully cover the bare spots. I love that there are 3 types of seed that should further flourish based on the growing conditions (sunny/shady/wet/dry). Definitely recommend this seed mix for upstate NY where lawns should be relatively care free.

The shade of green is very appealing and the grass is healthy. We planted in an area of our front lawn that did not weather well over the long NY winter. Very happy with the results.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We had a patch of dirt from where we'd removed a tree a year prior. We had tried unsuccessfully to grow grass, these seeds really worked over the few weeks we have tried it so far. Hopefully in the next month we will have a complete covered area.
