Pennington Smart Seed Texas Bermuda Grass Seeds for Lawn, Full Sun, 8.75 lb Bag

It was what I needed at the price I wanted to pay.

Used the recommended settings on bag, applied to bare ground where trees used to be. With watering every 8 hours for 2 weeks, we now have green grass! So far, it is only a few inches tall but seems to be sprouting as promised. Definitely recommend! Also covered with bermuda hay to not only help keep moist but protect from the Louisiana sun (heat) and rain (no washing away).

good amount of seeds sprouted and grew, but do need full sun, the ones i sprayed on shady area grow very slowly, the full sun ones are very green.

It grows quickly and thick. Beautiful green.

Well I am not sure if it will grow yet. However the bag was a good size. I spread it by hand and got the green coating on my hands, it did wash off well.

I have used this product before, I like their brand. I am 87, this is our 12th home. Primarily company moves. I have incurred a lot of of yard work. I am still doing the majority of my yard work. I am maintaining one acre, I look for good products at reasonable prices. Walmart and Pennington fit the bill.

My yard service recommended the seed for bare areas that I had in my yard. I followed the directions almost to a tee and after almost 3 weeks, I had a few of the seeds that came up, but they don't appear to thrive once they have broke ground. So I wouldn't waste my money on this product. The photo shows the only area where I could find any growth still left after two months.

second bag and still nothing

I have planted Bermuda in the past before....Cannot get this grass to take with 4 weeks on watering at two different intervals per days. Applied Scotts starter to boost my chances and far less than 10% has been effective. Truly wish there was a way to get a refund and start over.
