When preparing any authentic Italian recipe, you want to use the extra-virgin olive oil for the smooth flavor and the way complements all the other flavors and whatever you're preparing. When it comes to the main ingredients of a recipe, I don't believe that you should ever worry about cost when it comes to preparing the authentic dish.. I've tried other types of olive oil, even non-organic and the flavor is just not compared to the flavor of the Pompeian organic olive oil
There's a few brands of extra virgin olive oil that I would recommend. This is one of them. As far as the cheaper of the premiums, just a little fun fact for all of you out there, extra virgin olive oil is heart healthy. It is very good for your body. You can literally take, it is recommended by a lot of physicians and homeopathic people, that you take at least a shot glass of extra virgin olive oil. And you can look this up for yourself in your own studies. It is very beneficial. So if you have an elderly person in your household that struggles cardiovascular and stuff like that, look into extra virgin olive oil and the benefits of this. Stop using all these nasty oils. Only use extra virgin olive oil. That's the top. That's the first of the drought. That's what comes out first. That's the first press, I think, the extra virgin. And then the rest of it follows afterwards. Get the best. It's healthy. You can use it on everything. It's good for your skin. It's good for your hair. Instead of using some crazy conditioners and stuff, put some in your hair, you know, put it in your hands, and you don't have to do a whole bunch. You don't wanna be all oily and stuff. But you can actually use this kind of stuff in a real way instead of using chemicals that are gonna harm you or hurt you and stuff like that, especially if you're pregnant. Stop using all of these horrible things. Utilize nature and its beautiful gifts. That's why olive oil back in the day was an extremely high value substance, and quite frankly still is.
I will say for you Olive Oil snobs I understand you can taste the difference but for the average joe this is as close to value and quality you can get for Olive oil. It has a richer taste to it since its less processed, but the taste is much more pleasant than heavily processed and mixed “olive-ish” oil lol
I use olive oil for cooking (sautéing, etc.) everything. Works well with my set of stainless steel pots. Healthy and makes food taste good. I recommend this brand.
Pompeian Organic Smooth Extra Virgin Olive Oil has a light and pleasant taste. The taste is not overwhelming where it interferes with the outcome of your recipe. I would recommend this product.
High quality pure cold squeezed Extra Virgin Olive Oil
It's very cute and adorable and it's for my great granddaughter. She'll love it.
smooth as described. tastes light not too heavy on the pallet. good value for price. only reason for 4 stars is bc we aren't in Italy folks were getting what we pay for. it will replace some of the thicker heavier oils in house for baking as well. yes I would repurchase brand.
Great price for Organic extra virgin olive oil! I use it for skin care and polishing bathroom faucets/counters. It is definitely less thick than the last olive oil (Kirkland, I think) that I used, and I think I might prefer the "robust" version instead. But it does the job! It moisturizes my skin and polishes the faucets/counter well. (Fun fact: If you polish these right after washing, it helps avoid the accumulation of water deposits and hides the ones that are already there.)
I wanted a safe, mild everyday EVOO, but the bottle I received was disappointing. The main thing I noticed was an oily mouthfeel that lingered longer than I preferred. It did not taste fresh to me, and I ended up discarding it rather than finishing it.
