the trolling motor mount allows me to mount the motor on the bow or side of my aluminum jon boat. this gives me more options depending on if I have others with me in the boat. the mount does just as described in the ad with no need to drill holes in my boat.

Solves the problem well
This item just worked very well. Note this bracket/mount is much bigger than I expected. But it works well.

As Described
Fits my 14' V-Bottom perfectly. It is rather large but beats adding metal pieces to the front of my boat. Loosen up some the second time I used it, but overall a great product thus far.

Works great as a gunnel mount.
Since my transom area was too tight for a trolling motor I use this motor mount on the gunnel. It works very well and is made well also. I recommend it.

not for me
for me it never could be installed correctly. fear of losing a brand new trolling motor is cause for me to send it back.... maybe its MY boat but for me, it was uneasy always wondering if it came loose and my motor is dangling off the boat... so im returning
