I have a car that is eighteen years old, and it started to develop a little rust behind the wheel wells, so I had to sand it down and repair it with body filler. When that happens, the metal gets pitted. The rust works its way into little pinholes. I thought I would need to remove all the rust so that the problem wouldn't come back in a few years, but a friend told me I could paint over the pinholes with this product instead, because it neutralizes the rust. That allowed me to preserve a lot more of the metal, so the repair was much easier and the result was better. I did some reading on the Internet and learned that I could use Bondo right over the top of the paint. So far it has worked well. Now I am using the rest of the Rust Bullet to touch up other rusty metal around my property. I have used outdoor house paint over the top of it, and that worked well too. The product is expensive, but I'm finding that a little goes a long way.

Paint is thin enough to spray using hvlp sprayer. What i like most about this paint is the very little prep needed for adhesion. I did apply 2 coats, per instructions, and although it took half day for it to dry, it is holding up to multiple constant rain. My next project for this is painting the galvanized chimney cap.

This stuff really seals out the rust! You can paint right over it with minimal preparation and so far so good!

This stuff works great. It drys quickly, less than the 8 hours the can stated. I gave it a second coat but that's just me. It really was fine with one coat. It has been on the spot for about two weeks now. No complaints.

He likes this product a lot he has used this on several projects in his yard and it works great. We have purchased several cans in the past. The words on the can states it all. It stops rust. Great product.....

I chose this because a lot of car enthusiast use this. I sanded the rust area on my trunk drain gutter down to the metal and used Rust Bullet Metal Blast to clean the area and remove rust. After it dried, I applied the Rust Bullet which adhered very well and created a very tough outer coating. I still have to apply another coat per the instructions. I do not have to apply enamel over it but it is recommended. I also used it on my washing machine lid and it came out good. Shipping took about 5 days but it was packaged very well. Read instructions well and plan your work. I will purchase again. This was a job I did not want to do again for a long time so the extra cost was warranted.

Product came on time and install went as expected. It worked well with the the bondo fiberglass mesh for fixing holes. It is slightly thicker viscosity than "miracle paint", which made it easier to install the mesh right away after applying a first coat of the paint. . . no need to wait for it to start to cure and get "sticky" before applying the mesh. Now we wait to see how long it stops the rust. :)
