Schumacher Electric 6A Car Battery Charger and 100A Engine Starter, Maintainer, 30A Boost, 6V/12V Sport, Auto, and Marine Batteries, SC1281

Autozone and Advance Auto both told me a year old battery had to be replaced. I decided to buy this charger and it showed that the battery was good after charging. I wanted to tell the charger thanks, but it couldn't understand, so I will write this review. After the cost of the charger I saved over $60 by not buying another battery.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this charger mainly to use as a jump starter when my car battery dies and to do a trickle charge on a motorcycle. It seems to work well and holds the trickle charge and does have some good power for jump starts. Two days after I got this my fiancé left her car light on and her battery died. In the morning I hooked it up, attached the cables and the car started right up!

My original Schumacher 2-10/30/100 Amps charger had come up missing. It was about 13 years old and running stong. I purchased as a replacement the SC1281 which also has a built-in desulfator has performed exceptionally well. I have put the SUL desulfator mode to the test, so far I've been able to restore one 1000 amp car battery that I had setting outside my garage. This product will hopefully continue to perform as my last one did. I trust the Schumacher brand for quality and reliability.

This Schumacher charger replaces an old Schumacher charge that stopped working. This one is built heavier, and the power cords are more robust. I do not like the fact that one has to select 6<>2A rate selection to get the percentage of charge. I do like the fact that this charger has a Start/Stop button. So, for the money this is a great charger.

Compact and inexpensive charger that works very well. Does do what you need it to do. I would recommend

I was shopping for a battery charger to replace my old craftsman. I found that they don't make a battery charger like that anymore. So I started looking online and found that Schumacher made the craftsman I have so I searched for and found one close to the same thing as the craftsman. Then I searched for the model and found Walmart was cheaper than all the other sites. Walmart was over a hundred dollars cheaper than some.

Item was packed in a box with no packing and it arrived damaged. The plastic cover on the negative clamp was broken and laying in the bottom of the box

The item was open when I got it, plus it was sent to my neighbors house, shot sparks upon plugging it in, it took for ever to be even shipped. I work on my own cars and need a battery charger and jumper all in one and my neighbor has had one for years. Yet this one seems like Im going to have problems already!
