Scotts Turf Builder Grass Seed Heat-Tolerant for Tall Fescue, 7 lbs.

Bought this particular seed to help rejuvenate our 2 acre lawns after the yo-yo weather pattern Nebraska has had this year. I ordered Scott for the name and this Heat-Tolerant Blue Mix because we are in the country and have Kentucky Blue grass and Tall Fescue grass. Hopefully this seed will fill in the damaged areas from the high temps and winds by Overseeding. We will not know how good it is until 2021.

Great product shipping was fast and arrived before date listed over seeded about two weeks ago and on some of the bare spots the little seedlings are starting to pop up all over can't wait for them to really take off

This is the 3rd year for using this specific grass seed and I expect the excellent results to be the same. Coated seeds insure lots of it germinating and it is usually up within 5 days.

I've got grass coming up so the seed must be viable...Not really sure how to write a review for grass seed. The photo was taken two weeks after seeding. Please ignore the weeds as I didn't do a great job of removing all of them before seeding. I did use Scotts Turf Builder for Seeding at time of planting which will hopefully work as a pre-emergent for additional weeds!

There is only 50% seed in the bag. Much of the rest is "inert matter." Though this took longer to germinate under good conditions, it was thinner than the Vigoro tall fescue I had planted prior. The Vigoro brand also came up faster and thicker-the bag had far more seed and far less "inert matter."

I worked VERY hard to prep the soil for the seeds, planted them, and watered diligently.....and I was lucky that we had an optimal window of temperatures with highs in the upper 70's and lows in the 60's. We even had some extra rain with the remnants of tropical storms......not a lot of rain, but enough that I didn't have to worry about the seeds drying out. Two weeks later the grass has germinated only sparsely. I had high hopes. Looking at the back of the bag, it does say 80% germination......so, I'm thinking.....If I do the planting to 100% perfection, then at best I can expect 80% of the seeds to germinate. So if you're very very good at overseeding, perhaps you'll have better luck? If not, your upper-limit might be something less than the 80% like me. Another decision that I've made after using this product is that I will never again use grass seed that is coated.....The concept of coating the seed sounds good

Important to follow instructions and seed during fall in cooler temps and water lightly every 3 hours, 3 times a day for 3 weeks to germinate. During rains maybe the best season.

The worst grass seed! Followed the instructions to the T. Tilled soil, remove all debris, 3 inches new top soil, spread the seed as instructed. 3 weeks later no grass. Did additional research then oversees lawn. 5 weeks later I am still waiting on a lawn, still waiting on the moment to meow. I have blochie spots weed mixed in with a few strand of grass. Worst grass (DUMP) seed!

Not drought or heat resistant for Central Texas. Grew great, then died off within 1st week of above 90○ with low watering. Not sustainable for my geographic location.
