Exactly what I was looking for!

Georgge March 17, 2021

I was going to give my girlfriend the 4TB but this one works really well and the gray looks nice. Now that I thought about it the 4TB would've been a little too much for her anyway, she loves it and that's fine with me.

Useful

Great device using it for my ps5 however it only works for my ps4 games that I download on my ps5 so that kind of sucks.

The hard drive works for my series s. I can store games, play some games from the game drive. But games that are optimized for series x/s, can only be stored on the game drive. To play those types of games, you have to copy to the internal ssd. Other than that, it works plus a cheaper alternative to the expansion card.

Must have for any Xbox gamer.

AlTheWhite January 18, 2022

Bought this over the holidays for my grandson. It broke after a few days, was doing a humming noise and could not be found by the Xbox. So I went to the local Walmart and returned it, bought another one. This one has been working fine ever since. Must have for any gamer.

Lasted one day

EZ February 19, 2021

It literally lasted one day and I lost three games with lots of gigs now I have to download them again. When I first bought it I ordered for same day pickup but since it is $114 at the store they claimed they were out because of high demand so they canceld my order even though I saw them in stock. I ordered it again but to be shipped to home then I got it but like I said it died in one days use. Maybe you'll have better luck.

Stopped working after 6 months.

Vanessa August 3, 2021

Purchased it on November 18th, 2020 as my Xbox's storage was 50% used and I didn't want to over fill my Xbox. I stopped playing my Xbox for about a month or so as I game on PC as well, in which at this time I completely unplugged my Xbox. Around May 25th, 2021 I went to go play Assassins Creed Valhalla and it prompted me to redownload the game. I knew I had selected for that game to be downloaded onto the External hard drive. So I went the the settings and it only showed my Xbox storage. I went and checked the USB cable was still plugged in and it was. I restarted my Xbox and noticed that the Hard drive felt like it had turned on. You can hear it and feel it, but the green light on the front would no longer turn on. I plugged my Hard drive into my brand new $3,600 gaming PC that is just over a month old and I could hear it reconnected and disconnected within' seconds of each other. I did thankfully buy the 2 year warranty and I called Seagate's customer service. They're going to send me what they say is a new hard drive, not a refurbished, and I will have to send my old one back which I am more than happy to do. I do fear that I will end up getting another one that malfunctions. I just wanted to post a review of my own just to make buyers aware that this CAN happen. It might be like PC Monitors where you can just get a crappy one. It's cheap to get a 2 year warranty. If I were you, I'd get it. Mine was $10 online and this is at least for now saving me $75.

Christmas surprise ruined

Carebear December 13, 2020

The item was exactly as described. And the item came early... however when it was delivered, the bag was not sealed. The item was purchased as a Christmas gift and the surprise was ruined.

Mine was corrupted straight out of the package, caused all of my games to fail to load anytime it was connected to the console
