i do not like corded vacuums. i hate having to unplug it every time i get to another room, it's super annoying. but this one has a very long cord and it works great! it was very easy to clean after and it picked up so much dog hair. we stayed in a family members Airbnb for free, with the caveat that we clean it to guest standards before we leave. It worked great! and we had two dogs with us! the house looked better when we left than when we arrived. this vacuum was a tremendous help. they had some old heavy gigantic Dyson and a two story house. there was no way i was lugging that dinosaur up and down the stairs. this one was light weight and was very easy to take up and back down. and it loaded right up into the back of my truck, hardly taking any space. highly recommend!
Wow, great product. I’ve never used a vacuum with so much power before. This vacuum is a monster when it comes to suction. It does a great job at picking up pet hair. I’m actually considering purchasing another one for my vacation property. This vacuum is replacing a battery operated stick vacuum that just can’t handle the time it takes to clean the entire house. This Shark can handle it easily since it’s corded.
Good suction for vacuum, lightweight and easy to hold up while vacuuming. Love having a corded so no batteries to worry about running out. I like that it top part of the vacuum detaches to use as a dust buster. Only draw back is the vacuum head locks upright but will not stand up on its own. The vacuum brush works great on wood floors, does not seem like it could scratch. Seems like hair does not get wound around the brush head.
What a powerful vacuum!!! First time I opened it and used it, the amount that was in the container, was shocked! We have three animals, two cats and one dog, I could definitely see it picked up so much fur!! Our floors look and feel much cleaner. I just love the Oder Neutralizer, makes each room smell fresh! My old Shark vacuum stopped working the other day, had it for a good four years. I just had to get another Shark.
Does not get all the dog hair out of area rugs, and I vacuum every other day. I have to use a hand held pet roller to get it all out. My last Shark was so much better. Maybe it's because I don't have to clean the brush roller on this one, which is a big plus. So disappointed that it doesn't do a good job on rugs.
Vacuum mainly performs well for overall vacuuming. However, when turned off standing upright, it tends to fall over--not well balanced. In addition, removing the handheld vac is difficult, does not separate smoothly. And because of the balance issue, when the handheld portion is put on its hook on the stick portion for storing away, the whole thing tends to topple over. Good theoretical concept, poor follow-up testing.
LOVE this vacuum if you have hardwood/flat surface floors. Very powerful and picks up everything! Does NOT work on my rug.. every time I pass over a rug it stops rolling and gives me a red light. Saw reviews after I had this issue of people saying the same- unless you have thick wall to wall carpeting, it will not work on area rugs. Wish I knew before using or buying!
I know Shark makes a very good product but this particular vacuum didn’t work well for me. It worked very well on bare floors but I couldn’t use it at all on my area rugs and on my higher pile living room rug the rolling bar just stopped and didn’t pick u anything. With 2 dogs and 2 cats I need something that goes from hard surface to carpet easily and effectively. Unfortunately I had to return this product which I HATE to do because I suspect it will have to be damaged out and I hate to d9 that to a store.
its so loud! i hate it. You also have to empty the cartridge every 2 seconds. Do not buy if you have pets. I only bought it to do a literal hallway, one and I have to empty it every 2 feet and its so loud it hurts my ears. I love shark...not this though.
I'm really disappointed with this Shark model, I've been using the old cheaper Shark stick model for several years and loved it, tons of power and the dust collector holds alot, I spent $80 more to get this more expensive pet hair model only to find it has far less power and the dust tank is tiny, have to empty it after vacuuming just one room and it's always getting clogged because the vacuum hose part is half the size of the old model. I would not recommend this model, very poor design and no suction.
