I love the crunch of these. I add them to a Chinese lettuce cups I make using romaine, ground turkey cooked in hoison sauce and toasted sesame oil, green onions, water chestnuts, and topped with chow main noodles and a drizzle of siracha. Huge family favorite!
Needed to cut out potatoes, used as a replacement in a couple of dishes and it worked, TY AI for the suggestion.
so crunchy, even if you boil it!! wish I knew about it before. and that crunchyness stays, making food crunchy but not too hard or soft
Definitely recommend this brand others had warning of cancer labels these were really good I used them for low calorie date snicker and salads etc
Product is ok, but shipping provides way dented cans that make you wonder how they get destroyed in the short trip and bottles that are opened. Recommended if you go pick it up in person. Don't get it shipped.
They are pretty good, they do have a strong 'canned' taste to them, but I use them in stir fry s so it cooks off. They have a nice texture and hold up well to being cooked.
I ordered 6 cans of the Shirakiku Water Chestnuts. However, I received 6 cans of the Dynasty Water Chestnuts instead. The main problem is not the switch but that all 6 cans of the Dynasty Water Chestnuts are severely damaged or dented and therefore not usable or safe to consume. As has become the standard for Walmart, almost all canned goods arrive damaged and heavily dented. A tiny dent here and there is not a big problem but these heavily dented cans are unsafe to use and/or consume. The cans were not damaged in shipping as the box is in mint condition.
I ordered water chestnuts, and got bamboo shoots, I think that whoever is doing the order and I'm paying for it should be able to read what the item is. Epic fail.
Both can dented in half, with lids making popping sound. Took photos, contacted customer service, refunded for ONE can. I am owed for TWO.
This can looks like it's been thrown down the stairs. Unacceptable, needed for this evening.
