I found the sock aid very easy to use, especially for my senior father-in-law who recently had hip surgery, it was a lifesaver. This product made putting socks on much easier, especially right after the hip replacement. The foam grip made it much more comfortable and easy to use. This sock assist is a heaven send for my husband. He has bad hips and can't reach down to put on his socks. He likes using this so he doesn't feel like he's always bugging me to help him. I get the independence thing and this assist is so easy to use. He's had others, part of a kit after hip surgery and his last one broke. He said this one has a little longer rope and he thinks it's a little sturdier. Great price, too

I had this one and a metal one after my left hip replacement. This worked well.

I bought this as a gift so I can only report what the recipient said. It does help a little with putting on custom-fitted (read: really really tight!) compression stockings, but it's still hard. That said, the design is much like all the others, so I'm not sure any other product would be any better.

This is a really easy product to use for putting your socks on. There is no bending involved to put your socks on, Which is a big factor when you have arthritis in your lower back and cannot bend to put your socks on. I would recommend this device to anyone that has issues putting socks on.

my foot was a little too big for this to work. The rope pulled out of one of the hand grips.
