It was recommended by my dermatologist that I take vitamin D for my hair. I like these because they're 1000 IU. I take one in the morning and one in the evening in order to evenly distribute my intake, as recommended. They are easy to swallow and don't seem to upset my stomach. These are available at my local Walmart and I can afford to buy them. Can't say for sure that they work. Wouldn't know how to judge that.

I started using this brand over 10 years ago, when my Vitamin D levels were severely low. I take 2-3 of these per day, and it has kept my levels normal for several years along with the proper foods, a multi vitamin, and some sunshine. They work! They aren't overly expensive, and they are easy to take and absorb well.

I ordered a supplement which was advertised online as Vitamin D3 (1000 IU, 450 soft gels), but I received Vitamin D which is quite different from D3. I returned the item via FedEx, requested a replacement explaining in the comment that incorrect product was sent. Again, Vitamin D was delivered instead of Vitamin D3. Spring Valley supplements are a good affordable alternative, and the quality of the products is usually good. My review is not about the product itself. Either the item was advertised incorrectly online on Walmart's website or the supplement was mislabeled; I need to go to the store and return it again.

BUYER - IF YOU ARE SPECIFICALLY LOOKING FOR D3 - The 450 count bottle is NOT THE SAME as the 200 count bottle. If you need D3, get the 200 count bottle. The ingredients specifically say that the 450 count bottle contains <2% cholecalciferol (which is D3) vs the 200 count bottle that is entirely cholecalciferol. These two items should not be in the same product listing, they are in fact completely different. I will continue to get the 200 count bottle as that is what I have been and will continue taking; it is great. There just seems to be an error associating these two products together.

Used to be Vitamin D3. I clicked to order the same exact product and received vitamin D. Spring Valley claims it's just a new look for the packaging, but the ingredients are different, which was NOT indicated before the purchase. NOT the same. NOT just a new look, Look at the pictures with the old and new side by side.

they should watch closer . i ordered vitamin D3 and i received vitamin D ,this makes twice this happened to me. i said no sudstitutions send me what i ordered i cannot do the return thing on line i do not have a phone that does that i expect you to send what is ordered i am old i do not take a chance on ordering anything i might have to return send me the vitamin d3 i ordered icannot do the photo thing

The product pictured is Vitamin D, and the description is for Vitamin D3. There is a big difference between the two vitamins. I received Vitamin D as a sub to the Vitamin D3 that was on my list for pickup. I approved it, my mistake, just seeing Vitamin D. The OPD employees are going off of approved subs, they don't know the differences.

It said on the label on the app that it was D3, however this is D and not D3, two different dietary supplements. It is not the stores fault as they picked the appropriate selection, but a corporate level app issue. Luckily we have two people that require different amounts of D3, so the other I ordered will suffice, for now, but this should be fixed and labeled D, like the photo shows
