Have bought five ounce cans for decades. And, I generally always a bit left over, but, not enough for another sandwich or salad. So, I tried the larger 12 oz size. Prepare it once and there is enough for three sandwiches. Quick meals. Good value. Grew up before there was water-packed tuna, then the water-packed came out at an elevated price point. Now, it seems, the reverse is the case. But, I find water-packed tuna extremely bland. And, it takes more mayonnaise to make a salad. So little needed with the oil-packed. And, if one tosses the tuna straight from the can into a salad no dressing is needed.
My first time trying tuna packed in oil. It is good and will buy again. Very pleased with the price, quality and affordability
Have always loved this brand and the product. Yum
trying this tuna fish and making it right is very good
healthy taste awesome and good buy
I'll let the picture tell the story. . . Did you take a good look? Which one do you want to see when you open your can? No words needed, but here goes. I was tired of buying what looked like cat food. SO I did my own test. All three are drained, solid White Albacore. And it tastes as it looks. I even tell people I see waffling by the tuna section, I might put these pics in my phone to show them. I hope you're as pleased as I am with ol' Charlie.
Not quite as solid pack as the water pack but very good. I prefer the taste of tuna packed in oil. I used to make my tuna with 4 or 5 spices.. sweet pickles and mayo. Now I just use mayo and some red wine vinaigrette dressing, chill it and it's wonderful.
I ordered 3 in oil but got 1 in water…also the one in water was a little dented…not really that big of a deal…other than that order was good
This tuna was way too fishy for my tastes.
This is not what I ordered and I do not want a substitute. I do not care for tuna in water
