Very close to home made version!
I love Mongolian beef and I've made it from scratch..it's a long, tedious cooking event, but I tried this to see if it tasted good. I wanted to see if it was up to the caliber restaurant quality and it was, surprisingly. This is how I tweaked it: I added two different color bell peppers, lg. onion %26 I used triple the amount of the garden onions, the green part when I added it to it so that's just for my particular taste and what I'm used to for restaurant quality but outside that it was awesome!

Spicy but good
This created a really dark, thick sauce. I added green onions and sesame seeds. Served with fried rice. The flavor was excellent but a word of caution: This is spicy. If you like milder sauces, make this with a tsp or two of brown sugar, maybe some rice vinegar to help cut back the heat.

I used stew beef sliced a bit thinner. Added just a touch extra water and served it over rice. It was a quick meal and we all enjoyed it. Very tasty.
