This supplement makes wonders for my energy, I've been taking it for a few years and when I'm running out of it for a few days I can feel the difference, my body feels slower and kind of tired, it is unbelievable how this supplement can change your life, also, my eyes are getting better and they don't get too dry, of course I drink lots of water, stoped using any kind of eye drops from the drugstores, take Lutein and eat six baby carrots every day just doing these little things are helping my eyes a LOT, I started taking 4 mg of Astaxanthin every day, now I'm getting 12 mg, and loving it and if II had to choose just one supplement from all the ones I'm taking, this would be it ! ! Highly recommended.

(and other things, I can't remember all the benefits)I think the improvement in your skin is subtle, the improvements one experiences with supplements can take a period of time. While I am certain that many supplements are valuable, there are few that seem IMMEDIATELY to have effect. The Astaxanthin is perhaps the ONLY supplement I’ve even begun that gave noticeable results in a day or two. I was impressed, and I continue on it regularly.

I have read article upon article, from valid, reliable sources online and in print --- to Swanson's website and catalog, how fabulous an antioxidant Astaxanthin is. . . . With many saying it reigns at the top. Without gushing over the superlatives, let me just say that I have been taking the 4 mg. Astaxanthin, which I purchased from Swanson, for quite some time. I want it in my daily regimen as part of my eye health / vision program, as well as a star player on my Antioxidant Team.I would always take one a day, sometimes two of the 4 mg. Astaxanthin capsules. Then presto-zippo, along comes Swanson Health Products with this big-daddy 12 mg. Astaxanthin. I always strive to take the very best, and I take high potencies. This Swanson Ultra Maximum Strength Astaxanthin 12 mg. capsule product fulfills my wishes and needs on both fronts. Frankly, I'm very jazzed about this product. Works for me.

Like the first reviewer said, this is the very best dosage and form to take. One pill daily--it's a cute dark capsule with no weird taste, easy to swallow and 12 mg each. I have read reviews on astaxanthin that state you need oil and vitamin E to enhance the benefit. This has the oil, only needs the vitamin E to be added. I would rather take this one with a vit E pill added than look for another brand. Try one bottle like I did and you too will be back for more!

Anyone else have nightmares while taking this product? I know it had to be this astaxanthin because when I stopped taking it the nightmares went away… That being said… I do like most Swanson products! Most of them are reasonably priced and packed well. Good value for your $$$

It is a 30 day supply and the expiration date is less than 30 days from date shipped. I will not purchase from Swanson again.
