Works quickly and an awesome value!

William S October 29, 2023

Wow! I took just one of these and I could tell it was doing something. I think it helped to cleanse my liver, kidneys and gallbladder. Somebody else was complaining it is a low dose compared to other brands, but look how low the price is compared to those other brands. Besides that, I found just taking 1 of these at a time is effective. I might try taking 2 at once just to say what that does. After the first time I didn't notice it as much when i take it so I guess it's more of a tuneup than a daily for me.

D-Limonene, Leading Edge Supplement

JadeGarden August 23, 2010

I do research on supplements and came across information that stated the efficacy of citrus oil extract and I had some difficult time locating a d-Limone product. It is not available in many excellent vitamin and nutritional support vendors but, I found it here at Swanson Vitamins. (The only reservation I have is that the capsule is large which is fine but it is large as well as thick.) Additionally, Swanson also has other leading edge supplements as well that cannot be found elsewhere. I recommend them as a trusted source for your supplemental needs and for those looking for difficult to locate supplements. Their prices cannot be beat. Thank you Swanson for sponsoring research and or reporting on findings that are useful to us all.

great for skin

stormy01 September 24, 2012

I love how our skin absorbs nutrients.........this is a great example. Regardless of how much orange peel extract is in the capsul, this supplement,\nopened and used on my face as a deep cleanse with a quick warm water rinse, or sometimes as an overnight moisturizer is an absolute perfect use for this mixture of oils. I do this once a week as an alternate to my usual routine.

not the best source

Evan June 18, 2025

well it did provide a nice calming effect but also oddly made my joints ache, which no other brand has done can only guess there are containments due to shady manufacturing process but who knows

Soybean Oil with Trace of Orange

Aristotle January 12, 2011

I buy a substantial amount of products from Swanson and this is the first time I have been motivated to write a negative review.\n\nMy main disappointment stems from the fact that the softgels are very large yet only contain 250mg of orange-oil-sourced limonene. This amount of limonene would fit perfectly in a very tiny softgel. Instead, what you get with this product is a giant softgel stuffed full of soybean oil with 1 drop of orange-oil blended within. This is, in my opinion, highly undesirable.\n\nAs an alternative I purchased Organic Orange Oil [Item # NWF624] and put a few drops into an empty capsule which I am quite pleased with.\n\nI regret having purchased several of these on "buy one get one free" and would not recommend them at any price.

response to aristotle's 'soybean' review

RaisedbySwans March 27, 2013

This product contains medium chain triglycerides which are metabolized and used as energy very quickly, whereas soybean oil contains long chain triglycerides which usually get stored as fat. I don't know why D-Limonene uses medium chain triglycerides in this product, but I'm relatively sure it's not a bad thing. In fact there is research that shows MCT's have various benefits. For example, it is marketed to athletes and bodybuilders as a quick source of energy during a workout.
