Swing A Way makes excellent can openers and this works Great! -- I really like the long handle and Easy Turn -- it works great on regular size cans as well as larger -- even made opening a tuna can a breeze. I like this opener.
Best can opener EVER!!!! I have had right hand surgery recently. I was able to use this all by myself with my hand in a cast. GREAT for people with arthritis or physical disabilities. I wish I knew about how wonderful to have a decent can opener like this months ago. Thank you
Bought it for my 82 year old dad and it's easy for him to open bigger cans, especially those big boiled peanuts cans for football season
I love Swing-a-Way can openers. They last a long time and are easy to use. The extra long handle on this one makes opening cans less painful now that my joints hurt.
I have arthritis in my hands and it became impossible to use the regular manual can opener I keep as a backup for when the power goes out. This looks big and cumbersome but works like a charm even for people with small, arthritic hands.
What a great idea! The classic Swing-A-Way mechanism -- the ONLY reliable hand-held can opener better than the old military P-35 -- now easy on the hands. I don't know how long this has been available, but I'm glad to have one now.
I love the can opener. There is no problem with it. But I was disappointed going to my mailbox to find it in an envelope with bubble wrap and the whole end of the envelope was raggedly torn open. The product could have fallen out or possibly someone could have taken it. Because of the weight of the product, I think it was too heavy for the envelope and would do better in a box. Thank you for considering this in the future.
This Swing a Way Can Opener with crank operation is a wrist saver. I needed something a bit easier to operate than the standard twist action opener. This does the trick. I was expecting it to be a bit sturdier in its overall feel, but it's a good value at the affordable price point. It arrived quickly and works as advertised. Only time will tell how well it holds up, but I'm happy with the purchase.
It leaves uncut spaces causing you to use some other sharp tool to cut the skipped places on the lid. Otherwise it's ok, especially easy to use for arthritic hands.
A perfect (for me) design ruined by poor materials. Due to arthritis in my hands, I'd come to dread opening any can that didn't come with a pull tab. What this means is I've tried many different can openers, of all shapes and sizes, in all price ranges. The first time I used this product, I practically wept with joy. Seriously. I know that sounds dramatic/ridiculous, but for the first time in years using a can opener wasn't physically painful. Fast forward from my April purchase, to early August. The uploaded photos is what the can opener looks like now. It's completely rusted, and no longer sharp enough to cut into any can. I tried to reduce the rust and sharpen, to no avail. As stated previously, i've owned many different can openers, and I have NEVER seen anything like this. Even when a can opener's design made it difficult for me to use, not a single one (including the cheapest) has ever rusted this way, or become unusable so quickly. Beyond disappointed.
