Taylor Classic Analog Freezer/Refrigerator Thermometer with Suction Cups 2-Piece Set

never worked right out of the box. The temperature was all the way up because it's the middle of summertime and it gets hot in the shipping boxes I know, but the temperature never went down when I left in my refrigerator for days. It was still all the way at the top, I even tried shaking the thermometer like instruction said to have the red bar move down to the bottom which it never did so they always kept the same temp either in the fridge or the refrigerator. I returned and just got a digital one.

Two pack one was defective

The suction cups did not hold on to the interior of freezer or refrigerator. It is not easy to read. I clipped it in a shelf and have to remove it and take it out of the refrigerator I order to read it.

Getting these as a pair made them a terrific buy, but even better than that, they are easier to read than the ones I purchased previously. The SAFE temperature zone is bold and makes it very clear if your refrigerator is not keeping as cold as it should be. I've found that even just a little warmer than the red zone, and your milk will sour days sooner than if it stays in the red zone. I detest pouring milk down the drain, so I like to insure that it lasts longer than the date on the carton.

The suction cups don't work very well, especially in the freezer. When you mount it horizontally with the suction cups it tilts down and you have to reach in and tilt it up to where you can read it. Also sometimes one of the suction cups will let go and you will find it hanging at some weird angle. I was not really able to use the wire hooks because my refrigerator has glass shelves and it would have been in the way to try to hang it from the rack in the freezer. The thermometers themselves do work, but you may have to come up with your own way of mounting them.

One of the thermometers worked and one does not. The fluid had separated in one and so I looked up the product online and the manufacturer website said to tap it gently against your hand so the fluid would settle back down together at the bottom. It did not after a lot of tapping. The fluid is still exactly the same separated all over the place so a temperature reading is impossible of course. I let it sit upright on the counter several days thinking maybe gravity would do it. Nope. Put it in the freezer just to see-the display didn't change fluid stayed separated just like at room temperature. One out of the 2pack seems to work ok but the other is completely useless.

Good for the price although there is a 4* difference between the two. And no not from a separation in the fluid. Or air gap. But still 4* isn't to bad for me. But if you are a professional appliance man I would spend a few more and get the certificate ones.

First of all the suction cups don't stay in the bracket like they appear to be designed to do . You have to just lay it on the shelf whether it's in the Frig Or Freezer. The Bracket is very poorly made. Also it reads completely different than my other thermometers. Another waste of Money.

I would recommend 👍 It's a nice set of thermometers. Works as intended. Mine measured 4.74” wide by 1.25” height. The suction cups have held without any issues for over a week now. The only thing I don't like is you can only read the thermometer from a certain angle. (Not a big deal nevertheless you do have to move your head to the correct angle to see the fluid in the thermometer)
