UpCycle Products 55 Gallon Black Rain Barrel

Sooooo well made; should last nearly forever. I really like the screen on top that keeps debris out of the barrel -- and it's easily replaced if it gets yucky. It has an overflow valve and a valve for connecting a hose for easy watering. Nice looking, but can be painted if you want to be matchy-matchy! I couldn't have bought a barrel and modified it for this price!

This rain barrel really has it all. I searched for a very long time to find one that has everything I wanted with minimal modifications. It includes a spout near the bottom and 2 connection points near the top for either an overflow connection or a multiple system connection. It also has three large holes drilled into the top covered by a heavy screen. You can unscrew the lid if necessary. It is black, but I found that they can be painted if you would like. They appear to be sturdy and well constructed. I think my favorite part is that they are recycled/repurposed. It means a lot to keep that big a piece of plastic out of a landfill or just collecting dust somewhere.

Black rain barrels inside greenhouse are a passive solar heater. Absorb heat during day and emit it at night. Great product and price.

Good rain barrel. It's a sturdy plastic. The hose connections seem sturdy too. There are 3 total, one about 6 inches from the top and 2 about 6 inches from the bottom. The screw top can be opened for easy cleaning and maintenance. I chose the black color because it isn't as noticable and kinda "disappears" in the background. It should work nicely for it's purpose.

Good quality. Like that exit tap is near the bottom of the barrel. Not that different from the one it was replacing.

I love it. Just need to order the bottom and other necessary items to go with this. But, I am truly happy with my purchase.

For the price, this rain barrel is just what we were looking for. For the spout, I like the fact that it has a ball valve spigot. But I would have preferred a brass fitting for long-term durability. We've just recently installed this rain barrel, our third one, so we can't speak to its long-term effectiveness. So far. it has filled without leaking.

The only reason why I didn't give this 5 stars is because the top has round holes on top instead of squarish like what spouts are shaped as. Screen can be easily replaced with window screen cloth. Heavy, thick, has overflow that allows for an extra barrel, very nice. Well worth the money with free delivery!

As rain barrels go, this one is fine. But, what sets it apart is the top. Its made in a way that the top is like a well that keeps splashing to a minimum. And the screen and holes for the water to filter through is great. The best part for me is how easily the top unscrews to clean out any debris caught by the screen, or to clean out the inside of the barrel. Well done people - well done!

That barrel leaks and was clearly a used barrel. Filled it up and water last only 2 days to be emptied. Now it's just sitting in my backyard empty. Waste of my money
