Vibrant Life Jumbo Carpet Cat Scratching Post, Gray, 42"

I can't say enough good things about his scratching post for my two cats! My cats only like carpet scratchers and won't use sisal ones. My biggest cat is about 16 pounds and this is so tall and perfect for him to stretch out and reach up high, my photo shows my smaller 8lb cat. It is a very thin, soft carpet and I wasn't sure how it was going to hold up but it is wonderful and hasn't shed fibers like typical carpet scratchers. After setting it up they both went immediately to it. It was sliding a little on my hardwood floor but I put a little square of non slip rug gripper underneath and worked perfectly. 100% recommend if your cats like carpet scratchers!

This is a HUGE cat scratcher. i just bought a new sofa and wanted to distract my kitty girl from scratching on the arms. It worked after being placed close to the arms of the sofa. The problem is that I've only had it a month and she's already ripped a slit in it. So the fabric isn't strong enough to last a long time.

This is a large scratching post. I put it behind the couch and the cats love it. They want the little ball at the top. They have figure out how to unscrew the ball at the bottom and are pleased with themselves. It has a nice carpet covering seems sturdy and does not fall over like some post do.

My cat is a little skittish of anything new so took him a few minutes to check out the new item in our home Lol had to stand next to it for a minute so he knew it was ok And him being a little over 14 pounds this 42 inch junbo scratching post should hold up well It went together really easy and seems very sturdy Thinking he will have a lot of fun for a long time with this one

This scratching post is great. As soon as I put it out my cats appeared from who know where and began playing. They are both interested in the base as well as the tall pole. There is a toy attached to the base and the top but my only complaint is the ball that is attzched to ths top is attached by an elastic that is onlg maybe 6 inches so I will be replacing it with a longer cord. It is tall and the cats have not tried to reach the top yet. When they do I hope it tips over gently. My kitties love this new addition to our home. I will also be rubbing fresh catnip on it to make it even jmore inviting to them. If you have cats, enen declawed cats, they will really enjoy for hours. It is safe fu for them. No sharp corners anywhere..

Scratching posts are a must have to save your furniture. This Jumbo size Cat tree scratcher does rhe job. It has added balls to make it of some use to the cat. Make sure to put it in an area that is suucceptad to catch scratching pike the corner of the couches. worked like a charm. save your furniture and buy a cat scratching tree!!

So far, only one of the 4 cats use this. It may be due to the texture or that the one cat has claimed it's her own, lol. Most posts have the wound rope that gets destroyed very fast. This is covered in carpet and is holding together well so far. Would be perfect for big cats because of the height. No one has played with the balls yet but we will give it time. Our cats are all older as well and don't play much anymore.

This was absolutely easy to install. It's very tall too. My kitties are very young and playful. They jump from a far and land on this scratcher and love it. The hanging ball is very entertaining to them. The ball with the spring there not to fond of because when they slapped it it sprung real hard back at their face and didn't like that lol. But they love climbing on it allllllll day. It doesn't have rope on it but they seem to love it very much. It's very tall so they like being up high. They stand on it and feel great because they continue to do this over and over again. Great product.

This Vibrant Life Jumbo Carpet Cat Scratching Post, 42 inch Large Grey Post is a great size. It's easy to assemble. It has one toy on elastic to attach to top plate, then it has a toy on a spring that attaches to the base. It has given my cat hours of entertainment. I think it helps a great deal in preventing loneliness when no one is home

We have two cats. The older one has always been content to use one of those stiff cardboard scratchers, while the younger one has never taken to those cardboard scratchers at all. He prefers to find areas of our carpet to scratch until fibers actually come up out of the old carpet we have in our place. I am constantly finding them in odd places every day. He knows that he is not supposed to scratch the carpet, so he does it secretly, usually while we are asleep at night. We have 2 cat condos in the house in different rooms, and they both have posts wrapped with sisal rope that neither cat ever scratch. When I saw that this Vibrant Life Jumbo Scratching Post was listed as being covered with "dura carpet" I decided to see if they would both use this post, and leave the carpet alone. This is indeed a "jumbo" post (probably the largest, and tallest I have ever seen) The older larger cat can stand on his back legs, and still not be able to reach the ball hanging from the top, but I have seen him using it occasionally (he is the cat in the photo). The "dura carpet" turned out to be more like the old-fashioned felt upholstery fabric than carpet, so I was a little disappointed by it, hence the 4 stars instead of 5. The post goes together easily, and is not heavy at all. It is constructed of particle board and heavy cardboard tube capped with plastic inserts. No surprise there at this price point. I only hope it will last for a while. I will probably need to get my hands on a carpet remnant to wrap around the post, so that our smaller cat will use it more often.
