I love it, very heavy duty. Wasn't very hard to put together but was a two person job. I used a hair dryer to heat up the steps to help bend them into place. It helped me a lot. I also added sand to the one side that goes into the pool, i felt it would float just added weight to it
well, we have not received the hinges for the gate we have asked 2 times now and no luck, i included a photo of what is missing so far i know nothing more. the ladder is great it's nice and sturdy. we just can't use the gate
I purchased these steps so elderly friends could access my pool. While they are sturdy, the height of the risers (steps) are too steep for an elderly person to lift their leg that high. They are attractive, but hard to use. Additionally, the safety cover reduces the width that is available to climb up the steps. I have to use a bungee cord to tie the cover back so I can go up the steps. Assembly was average, instructions were clear. What they didn't advertise is you have to fill one side of the steps with pea gravel to weight them so they won't float. It was a challenge getting the pea gravel into them. Had to use a funnel.
Ridiculous instructions, but finally got it put together. The ladder itself is working fine, we use a bungee or rope to tie back the gate so it will not hit anyone going up and down the ladder.
It was not what the picture was showing, the ladder was not sturdy at all. The self closing door would close on you once you stepped inside. It was difficult to open from the inside to get out. The rails were plastic and not strong at all.
took 2 to assemble it. you have to bend some parts to get them to fit. it looks nice. it makes getting in and out of the pool a lot easier, however its super lightweight and mives easily. in the water, it wants to float. It's really hard to put rocks in it like others have suggested because the space is so small. putting sand in ut is out of the question because theres too many little wholes in it. sovwe used bungee cords to fix it in place.
There is a video of a 14 month old baby climbing up the slats when the gate is closed and locked and could totally get in the pool then! This product should be recalled immediately before a tragedy of a child drawing occurs! It is not safe at all and for the money over $600 something should be done about it before this company gets sued for fraud misinformation and wrongful death! I personally got this for my grandchildren and am horrified and disgusted with this product! I want my money back immediately!!!!!
I purchased this based on the design because my Confer stairs were wobbly. Well putting this together was difficult. Once it was put together put it in the pool and it is very unstable. I weigh 125 lbs and when I step onto the steps they bend and it is very wobbly. I have it on cement pad so it's not that. Very disappointed spent twice as much on these stairs compared to the Confer ladder.
This ladder is not worth $500. We purchased this ladder so my mom who has nerve issues and pains in her legs can get in and out of the pool better than with the ladder that came with the pool. The metal cylinder things for the top step have all ready fallen out. We had to stabilize it with wood and it still moves. Every bolt and screw has been tightened several times and you still feel like you're going to fall, and the gate doesn't stay open to be able to get up and down the ladder as soon as you let go of it it falls right back into place and stops you from moving. We have to take it off everyday and put it back on every night. I would not recommend this ladder at all. Not for the price at least. Very disappointed!
less than half of the ladder pieces were in the box. i returned to Walmart and they won't issue a credit until the vendor receives the return. i paid Walmart, not their vendor so why do i have to wait! total waste of over $400
