I love the variety of grind settings from coarse, medium and fine. It is ease of use, You can pour your coffee beans in the top and then put your top on. Then turn the top part to the grind setting you want or do it before you pour in your coffee beans. it is your preference. Then select how many cups you want to grind your coffee beans on. Press the power on, it can be very noisy and it sounds like a blender. I wish it was a lot more quieter, which my only complaint. Overall, I would recommend to anyone!
I've had this for one month ! So far so good ! I like the ability to set the grind and amount of cups ! With a regular blade grinder, you're basically hoping and guessing that the grind will be the same each time (which isn't always the same) ! I'm happy with this , so far ! If possible, I will update later after more use !
I personally didn't care what it looked like as long as it did the job, and it does definitely grinds your coffee gives it great flavor and you actually can use less coffee to make the same amount of coffee to drink. I would recommend this one, we'll see what the longevity is, but right now it's definitely a winner. a winner. much better than a blade grinder. you can't be a Burr
Its market position would have you thinking this was a mid to high-end blade grinder. But no, it's a burr grinder - and not just an entry level one. It offers very precise settings that would please even the worst of us coffee control-freaks. It's also just very substantial feeling.
First Manual I found described a "Putting Device Together" as if we were the Manufacyuring Worker, scared me! But then I found a 2nd Manual for thr Grinder; as it was already "put together" right out of the box. There are only 2 or 3 places the User must indicate on the Grinder Settings as to HOW you want your Beans ground %26 HOW many Cups you are grinding beans for in your Coffee maker. Not scary! The top hopper cover is pulled up for right amount of beans to be dropped in, cover replaced, move next Dial (down from Hopper) to number of Cups we want to percolate in our Coffeemaker, then down below that is the Dial for HOW Fine or Coarse you need the grounds to be for your coffeemaking method/device. [ I prefer either Stovetop Percolating, or Electric Percolators that got popular with our Grandmothers as Electric appliances were proliferating North American homes from the 1920-1950's. ] Now that you"ve told this Burr Grinder all it needs to know, to help you get the "right Grounds" for that amount of water you have in your Coffeemaker, just push the ON button (this Grinder can stay plugged in all the time, at the ready, or plug it in when you're needing Beans ground, as some Energy Economists advise, to stop paying for Electricity in unused/,plugged in devices that keep drawing a minute amount of power to BE ready). The Burr Grinder starts drawing in the Beans and spewing grinds into a Front container, in the exact measured amount needed, in the appropriate Fineness needed fir your coffeemaker method. Rhe Manual teachs us about how to decide what fineness we need very tactfully. I was impressed with both the Documents %26 the Burr grinder's excellence in their construction %26 contents. Always wanted a Burr Grinder after learnong decades ago how much greater the Burr was at grinding than the more popular and cheaper Spinning Blade grinder. But,Burr grinders were just always too expensive, until now when I found Walmarts' selection. Thnx Walmart for making a dream come true foe a 74 yr old whose only pleasure left to me IS coffee!
Still figuring it out. I set the knob for 4 cups, and get enough coffee ground for about 6 cups (1 coffee measure for 2 cups). The grind selection is great, from much finer than I need to much coarser than I need. But the cup that holds the beans is quite small. Can I make enough coffee for 12 cups (6 coffee measures)? No. So I'll grind what I think I need, measure out what I actually need, and I'm good. Coffee ground yesterday is still good. Beans sitting in the refrigerator for 6 months still grind to fresh smelling (and tasting) coffee. (MUCH better than coffee already ground and sitting in the refrigerator for 6 months - that won't even clean the drains.)
Do not like the container for the grinds... Hard to remove, empty, and replace without creating a mess with grinds over the counter. ... But it grinds well... Also thought it would be quieter!
This little coffee grinder looks nice and is very compact. It grinds very well and has many levels, but that many levels are really not needed. The problem with this grinder is the difficulty in assembling and disassembling. It's almost impossible to reassemble after you've cleaned it. The direction/instructions are not consumer friendly, and I am returning it.
This machine has a dial, 2cups-12cups, it does nothing ! setting 2 grinds as much coffee as setting 12, very disappointed with this, as well the lid to the ground coffee "cup" is a PIA, it is not attached to the "cup". This thing leaves ground coffee dust on the counter top, makes a aggravating mess.
I think I would really like this grinder if it worked. It looks like exactly what I want. When I opened it to look at it, I saw that it was used and left dirty. Coffee grounds all inside it. I assume whoever purchased it last was unable to remove the "removable upper mill". I was not able to either. I will probably take another chance in them, since it IS what I want. I just want one that is going to work correctly.
