I had first gone to some brick and mortar stores to try to find the mower I needed/wanted, but nothing satisfied all my criteria, until I got to Walmart.com and found this lawnmower. It had everything I wanted at a price that was even less than the ones I had seen in stores with near comparable specs, and shipping was included in price, which was refreshing. It shipped within hours of my order, and could not have arrived any sooner than it did. When it arrived, I did what little assembly was required, added oil and gas, and it started first pull, and self propulsion was fantastic, as I had never had that before. All in all, one of the best shopping experiences I've ever had.

i LOVE my lawnmower. i would struggle on the side of my house because it goes uphill and for some reason the grass always grows higher and thicker through that part of the yard but i try not to use the auto push option because I do need some fitness lol but on the sides i pull that top bar and its raring to go and it cuts through like it butter on a hot knife and as far as fitness i have to walk a little faster because of how well it pushes itself through there. i actually get the yard done faster and if there's an issue i just pull that top lever lol. i love it for real.

Best self repel lawnmower

Michael May 14, 2026

This is one of the best self propelled Lawn morse that money can buy first. It has a 201 cc engine smooth easy start six speed transmission. All you gotta do is hold the handles and walk behind it. I got the front wheel drive because a front wheel drive lawnmower last longer that are real wheel and you can just pick the lawnmower tilted down and raise the front wheels up to make a turnaround. Thank you Walmart for the best deal I saved $100.

great mower. my only issue is that the self propel slows down dramatically after using. you constantly have to adjust the cable. nothing I've tried has stopped it from happening.

starts on 3rd or 4th pull, but hey, it works. cuts great. watch for your gas station using ethanol 10%. it will ruin a small engine. thats why i had to buy this one. i recommend this one. has one lever to move the deck up or down for cut dept.

Advertised as 6 speed lawnmower, in reality there is one one speed - slow. New machine. Read instructions. I used it for the first time out of the box. It cuts good. Start the motor at the lowest speed as instructed but can only get the slowest speed on all selected gears. No difference. May need some cable adjustments or simply defective gear. I need to spend some time on it or on the phone to find out. 4/5 stars.

Powerful Mower doesn't bog down

BigBears2 May 13, 2026

The mower came in a timely fashion, was well packaged and unlike other reviews was undamaged. The manual is something to be desired as it tends to be out of order as it is telling you how to start before telling you to put the oil in. I had a handle that was crooked like other posters have said until I noticed the handle locks were not in the same holes on both sides. It always starts by the second pull and I am aware not to put ethanol gas in it so it probably always will. The two downsides to this mowers design are, first the speed control is go or stop and not based on how far you squeeze which is a little fast on the slowest setting for me. The other downside is there a bar that connects the left and right front tires together and it is below the decks bottom edge so the bar catches any bumps or lips that would normally clear the mower deck. Making mowing a bumpy yard or an uneven edge near walks and driveways more difficult. Oh yea, and the other downside it wasn't at the store and had to be ordered because what they had was too small an engine for a half an acre of grass.

Self-propelled mower

BIRGE January 1, 2026

works like it's supposed to. 1st self-propelled mower in my lifetime. luv it .. tho it's made in China. 6 speeds are wasted; no diffrnc from 2 to 6. just need hi/lo. i got front-wheel "drive" so i can easily turn corners by pushing down on handle, raising the front end, and turning machine on rear wheels, just like an old push model.

Very heavy to maneuver

jacquelyn May 5, 2026

First off this lawnmower is very heavy to use. Turning is difficult with the heaviness. The speed handle seems cheaply made out of plastic. Not sure how long that will last. Also when I have the bag on clippings seem to fly out from somewhere. I checked the manual and have everything attached right. I don't know I'm not impressed for the money.

Nice lawnmower but missing the quality

Michael October 14, 2025

The appearance and design it was nice and it has a lot of features for the money. Now for the issues. The walking speed was slower than my 10 year old mower. I didn’t see much difference in any of the speed levels (1-6). During my 2nd use it started to make a sound like the carburetor was going out. I ended up returning the lawn mower.
