I'm a senior on a fixed income and a tight budget and even though this brown sugar is a little bit pricey, I prefer it. It's a better quality, taste better and I trust the ingredients. Since I make everything from scratch at home, I can afford some of the better products. I do a lot of research into ingredients and where products originate, and try to choose my purchases wisely.
C and H is the only brand of sugar i will use. Excellent quality cane sugar. I wont bake with any other brand. No beet sugar is used by this baker Consistent quality, great taste , bakes as it should.
Delivered very efficiently, and I was pleased, except that the brown sugar was hard as a rock. So how do I return that or get a replacement for that?
I don't know what is going on with this brand we have used it for years but the last half a dozen bags that we have bought have turned hard as a rock shortly after opening. And we keep the Ziploc tightly closed. Up to you whether you want to use it after that but hard to measure if you're just taking it out in big chunks
It's a good brand, but the picture was misleading it says that the bag was resealable when it's not. At least the one they delivered to me isn't
This brown sugar had huge clumps of rocks in the bag as if there was a spill in the box it was delivered in and an associate had the nerve to pack and deliver it to a paying customer. Walmart can have their delivery service. This isnt the 1st time I've dealt with a matter like this since I've been a member. There are no benefits in paying $13 a month. You may not receive an item or it may come broke. You never know what to expect amd Walmart has no accountability for any of it.
Best buy day is June 2025 but both 2-pound packages are hard as rocks! It is very wasteful to try to re-constitute brown sugar so it can be used in baking, as well as messy. I got the two packages in a curbside pickup so I didn't have the opportunity to inspect the packages prior to purchase. Incidentally, this happened with the last package I purchased a couple of months ago from Walmart. I would definitely return the sugar but I don't have the time or energy. Walmart needs to inspect its stock so as to not negatively surprise someone else. If you look closely you can see the cracks in the very hard sugar--not suitable for baking!
I thought I was “splurging” on name brand brown sugar, but it was not worth it. It came hard as a rock- literally. My brown sugar softening stone didn't help it at all. Crazy!
The brown sugar I order was hard as a rock. I also ordered dark brown sugar and received the wrong product. I will be retuning it.
The brown sugar that got delivered was rock hard. It even has cracks in it, expires on 7.31.25. hhhmmm!
