Highly recommend this... when I can get it that is. When I order for delivery, they seem to never be able to find it. But if I go in that same day, I sure find it. I sometimes feel like those shoppers just don't feel like looking hard enough. Especially when I found out that they give these shoppers a half hour to shop for our things! I checked it out and verified it with the management.

The best salt substitute

Peri May 17, 2026

I think this is the best salt free salt substitute out there. It is potassium chloride unlike Nu-Salt which is potassium citrate and has a slight tang metallic taste to it in my opinion. Walmart's own artificial salt has a slight bleach after taste. This one taste to me, a long time user of salt substitute, like Real Salt. So much so that I prefer it over the real thing now

Great taste, but some waste

Dianne March 26, 2026

It tastes just like salt to me. The small holes you shake it out of could be smaller, though. When I want to put it on veggies in my air fryer, it still pours out too much. I have to be very careful. And if you take it anywhere, the granules will come out, if it lays on its side. But satisfied with the taste, and will buy again!

No Salt is Less Harmful to the Human Body

DAT December 13, 2025

My dietician stated that I had to in decrease sodium (salt) intake. The amount I use to put on food was doing harm to my physical help. I did a web search %26 discovered No Salt. Though I still need to still need to monitor the amount I put on various snacks %26 meals, No Salt is more healthy than regular salt.

The BEST Salt Substitute!

Joanne February 15, 2026

I am on a low Carb, low Sodium diet and this No Salt is perfect. I use it every day. Of course it is not as potent as regular salt but it sure helps if you are watching your sodium intake. This is the ONLY salt substitute I will use, all the other ones are horrible. This is Great!!!

Original No Salt: good for health not the palette

Jim March 10, 2026

I am reducing sodium in my diet, and decided to try this salt substitute. I hoped it would have a taste profile similar to salt, I find it to be less flavorful/savory. I also notice a metallic aftertaste. If cutting sodium is a necessity, it's better than nothing, but I will likely try alternatives to Original No Salt's potassium chloride.

not my favorite salt alternative

Lo May 6, 2026

I didn't like the flavor, but this is the only salt alternative that doesn't have sodium (the blue bottle does). it depends on what it is put in -- I put it in some Indian flavored lentils and it was good, the spices must have masked the taste. used sparingly I think it is decent. lately vinegar is what I use as a salt alternative -- apple cider vinegar or balsamic. it tastes oddly salty but has no salt.

Maybe - pending your goal

Julie December 9, 2025

This product does not taste exactly like salt but may work for certain applications where saltiness is not the main goal. There is a metallic aftertaste that is similar to how diet soda's have an aftertaste as compared to regular sugar sodas. So maybe more in soups and stews and less as sprinkle on fries. Depending on your dietary restrictions this product might be a reasonable alternative even with the aftertaste since the 0mg sodium is a definite Pro. However if a pure salty taste is primary and you are only looking to reduce sodium somewhat- the lite salt products (e.g. Morton's lite also sold at Walmart) might be a better option as it still tastes more like normal salt to my taste buds.

Might not have sodium, but doesn't taste great

Emma January 11, 2026

I got this salt alternative to try, thinking that it would be a healthier alterative to regular salt. However, it has a strong, minerally taste that I find hard to ignore or find pleasurable. I'll sometimes use a very tiny amount in recipes and the mineral flavor gets obscured by the other flavors of the dish, but that seems to defeat the purpose of the product. I wanted something that I could, for example, sprinkle on popcorn or vegetables, but I haven't been able to do that with this without ruining the taste of the meal. I keep thinking I might eventually find a way to enjoy this salt-alternative, but it has been sitting in my kitchen cabinets for a while because I just don't think it ads anything to my cooking. I would rather add other flavorings and spices instead.

Timothy June 21, 2026

The container is totally unusable. The shaker container has huge 1/8 holes too large. The top is warped and the salt spilled out if tipped. I retreived the previous container from the garage can and spent an hour prying out the top. I dumped the salt into the old container and now I can use it. Why did they change to this useless container on a $7 product?
