We don't consume this (unionized) salt. It goes in the laundry room for adding to white loads %26 maybe a pinch in the colors/dark fabrics. Salt softens your wash water, making more suds %26 aiding deep cleaning. Also 1 box goes in the kitchen for adding to vinegar when cleansing pans. In the yard, patio %26 garden, I use salt to kill weeds, stop ants %26 prevent grass from growing between flagstones! Just the tip of the iceberg!
This is a really good product for your hair and it gets the old term anything like you putting in your hair? I miss you well little recipe I found on Facebook and they look really good and they get your scout cleaner, their sugar when people have in their sugar scrubs, but I think they should use salt and they got plenty of it out there, so I'll just try a new thing in salt instead of sugar cause the sugar is not doing anything but going around the circle spot the salt up and toothbrush works better
Well, you're probably not gonna like the way I use the salt because I get that salt for the price and I use it in the winter mainly for the steps and sidewalk to melt the ice and that's my main use for it. Otherwise I use it a little bit for cooking.
I've been buying Great Value plain salt for a while now, and it's become my go-to brand. I appreciate that it's just salt—no additives or anti-caking agents—which is exactly what I'm looking for when stocking up for long-term storage. It's great for preserving, cooking, or any situation where you want to avoid unnecessary ingredients. The price is hard to beat. For something so essential, it's nice not to have to overpay just to get a pure product. I usually buy several at a time and store them away in an air-tight container, and they hold up just fine. The only real downside is the packaging. The spout tends to break easily, and it can be tricky to open without fighting with the sharp edge. That said, this isn't unique to Great Value—Morton's salt has the exact same issue with their packaging, so I'm not docking points unfairly. It's just something to be aware of. All in all, it's a solid product.
Ordering was extremely easy, pickup was on time, associate was very respectful and courteous. I purchased a LARGE amount of containers of table salt to treat the over whelming growth a thistles I have, just cut them down leaving about three inches of the stalk and put about 1/4 cup of salt in the center. The salt will be absorbed thru the stem and kill the thistle. I never had any thistles until we bought some mulch in bulk form year before last--- last year there were a few but manageable, THIS YEAR I HAVE A BUMPER CROP!! I researched for a safe natural way to get rid of them without chemicals and there were several but I chose salt since many years ago if we had one or more in the pasture my husband would put rock salt on them and it worked. Salt is much less expensive, environmentally safe, and much easier to use in flower beds as it doesn't bother the surrounding growing flowers. Thanks to Walmart I was able to purchase all I needed and pick it up at a convenient time for me.
My Honest Review of the Most Basic Thing Ever: Salt I purchased this salt because, in a moment of profound culinary panic, I realized my fancy sea salt grinder was empty. I needed a reliable backup, a salt I could count on in a storm. This Great Value canister is exactly that: a no-nonsense, straightforward friend in my spice cabinet. Let's be clear, this is salt. It tastes salty. The grains are fine and uniform, perfect for dissolving into soups, pasta water, or for baking where precise measurement matters. It pours easily without clumping, which is the main thing I ask of a salt. It does its job without any pretension or need for a backstory about which cliffside it was harvested from. Now, for the "con," if you can even call it that: It is aggressively plain. If you're used to the subtle texture and slight minerality of kosher or sea salt for finishing a steak, this won't provide that same experience. It's a utility player, not a star forward. For everyday cooking where salt is a team ingredient, not the soloist, it's perfect. The 26-ounce plastic canister is lightweight and has a convenient flip-top lid for one-handed shaking. It feels like it will last a good long while, and my hope is that it stays dry and pourable until the very last grain. If you're staring at this listing wondering if store-brand plain salt is somehow inferior, let me put your mind at ease. Sodium chloride is sodium chloride. This is a massive amount of it for very little money, and it will make your food taste better. Sometimes, the simplest solution is the best one. This salt is a humble workhorse, and every kitchen needs one.
This is an excellent product that I highly recommend and intend to purchase more of. You will undoubtedly enjoy and appreciate the competitive pricing. It is a remarkable product!
I did not receive this item: 2 salt I can't figure out any other way to contact Walmart about this to replace the 2 salt containers or refund. Hope someone will tell me how to do this.
i ordered 4 Morton Seasalt which was cheaper so i was really disappointed when i received 2 Morton and 2 regular salt! So basically it spent more. Not good
Even though I can use the salt, I didn't order salt!! unfortunately I wanted the accent seasoning and the only offer was salt. I'm not impressed with this substitute as a replacement. Also I wasn't given enough time to cancel the substitute item.
