Was going to use this for a pie filling to make pink lemonade pie! But no kool aide lemonade! Wish Walmart would order more pink lemonades and regular lemonades!
This product is really good when used in baked sweets. I love mixing this color into icings. The more red you add the darker the red. Add like a drop to a bunch of white icing you can get a faint pinkish color. This also a great red to mix with other colors like blue to get a purple. The bottle is plastic and bigger than the food colorings that come in the set of four. You can't taste it in the treats you make. I have used the brand all the time for food coloring because I just love it.
I use this product on my red velvet cake and muffins. Afraid to use the gels you offer because they may take away the texture of my baked goods. I am well please with this product because it's consistency is on point. Great product...love it@
This food coloring works really well and gives a beautiful, vibrant red color. It's easy to use, and a little goes a long way. I used it for baking and decorating desserts, and the color came out bright and even. Great quality and I would definitely recommend it!
McCormick Red Food Color is a great food dye product. I appreciate the beautiful, bold red color that helps make all of your baking dreams come true. I like how you can customize the shade you want to use by adding fewer or more drops. Super easy to use. Does not leave any weird tastes or flavorings in your mouth. Great product to have on hand! Especially going to love using this to make red frosting for Christmas cookies this year with my daughter!
I loved using this red food color for my baking! The color is vibrant, easy to incorporate, and gives desserts a beautiful finish without needing a lot of product. It's a great addition for cakes, cupcakes, and other creative recipes. I would definitely use it again!
I received the McCormick Red Food Color as a free sample and tried it in both cupcake icing and melted white chocolate. Overall, it worked really well! The color mixed in very smoothly, and I especially liked that it's oil-based. Anyone who has ever accidentally added the wrong kind of food coloring to melted chocolate knows how quickly things can go south. This blended right into my white chocolate without making it seize, thicken, or turn into an unusable clumpy mess. It's also very pigmented, although I noticed a pretty big difference depending on what I was coloring. I needed quite a bit to get my butter cream icing to the strong pink/red I wanted, but with white chocolate, a little went a surprisingly long way and gave me a beautiful, vibrant color. I wouldn't say it's dramatically different from other oil-based food colors I've used, but it did exactly what it was supposed to do and did it well. It mixed smoothly, gave me great color, and most importantly, didn't wage war on my melted chocolate. Overall, I'd definitely use it again, especially for chocolate, candy melts, or anything else where an oil-based food color is the better choice.
Purchased this to make hummingbird nectar. A couple of drops in 16 oz water looks light orange, 12 drops is a darker orange. True red does not seem achievable but maybe it works better in another type of food coloring application. But the hummingbirds don't seem to care.
Doesn't have great ingredients but does dye your food and doesn't change the structure or taste that much
Never received item. Ordered online, parked car at specified time to pick up only to receive text product not ready. Waited 40 minutes, parked car in parking lot to go inside and buy it to then receive text product ready. Walked over to pick up area and asked person delivering to cars in pick up area, he went inside and returned to tell me they couldn't find so I walked in and purchased again, Still waiting to receive refund for order online that was never received.
