This product is really good when used in baked sweets. I love mixing this color into icings. The more red you add the darker the red. Add like a drop to a bunch of white icing you can get a faint pinkish color. This also a great red to mix with other colors like blue to get a purple. The bottle is plastic and bigger than the food colorings that come in the set of four. You can't taste it in the treats you make. I have used the brand all the time for food coloring because I just love it.

I really like this McCormick Red food coloring in liquid form. It comes in a plastic squeezable container with a plastic squirt top with lid. I like how the box explains how many drops to use for measuring. Also I like that the ingredients are listed on the box and the plastic squeeze bottle. It also explains on the box how to make colorful cakes, such as pink pig cupcakes. It also explains how to make red apple cookies and how to dye Easter eggs.This is a nice edition to your food coloring collection, I would definitely recommend this product.

We loved the specialty red food coloring! We colored the icing and frosted cupcakes. My girls had so much fun making and decorating their cupcakes. The color came out more of a pink. Maybe I should have used more. The girls liked the taste of it. $2.98 is a great price. It is 1 oz of yummy food coloring. This will last us a good while. There is tons of food ideas that this specialty extract food coloring can be used for. We can use it on cakes, cookies, cupcakes, etc... I love McCormick products.

McCormick Red Food Color is a great food dye product. I appreciate the beautiful, bold red color that helps make all of your baking dreams come true. I like how you can customize the shade you want to use by adding fewer or more drops. Super easy to use. Does not leave any weird tastes or flavorings in your mouth. Great product to have on hand! Especially going to love using this to make red frosting for Christmas cookies this year with my daughter!

My kiddos love to bake with me, and love using food coloring to turn foods colors. My kids especially love coloring their waffles when we make mini heart shaped ones! We tried out the McCormick red food coloring and made pink waffles, and then also made some cookies with red food coloring frosting. It's easy to mix in and the color is great and vibrant. Very fun for the kiddos!

The great part about this food coloring is that there is no true taste to it, so it does not interfere with the taste of your frosting or food. Initially, the color may look orange-ish, but the more drops you add, the deeper the red color. I think it is a great product that will last a long time with my baking supplies!

Bought this for fake blood and it has that perfect “fresh wound” look that I was hoping for. It does stain hands, I have yet to try and get it out of fabric, but it wipes off my darker colored desk easily. You might not want to risk that on a lighter surface tho

Purchased this to make hummingbird nectar. A couple of drops in 16 oz water looks light orange, 12 drops is a darker orange. True red does not seem achievable but maybe it works better in another type of food coloring application. But the hummingbirds don't seem to care.

Never received item. Ordered online, parked car at specified time to pick up only to receive text product not ready. Waited 40 minutes, parked car in parking lot to go inside and buy it to then receive text product ready. Walked over to pick up area and asked person delivering to cars in pick up area, he went inside and returned to tell me they couldn't find so I walked in and purchased again, Still waiting to receive refund for order online that was never received.
