I use this strawberry extract for the same reasons I use LorAnn oils and not for cooking or baking. I use it for scent based purposes like homemade body oils and personal fragrance blends that I layer. This is not medical advice just my personal experience. When mixed properly with carrier oils the strawberry extract works beautifully in my natural body oils. The scent lasts all day and smells fresh clean and soft without being overpowering. It does more than just smell good and feels nourishing on my skin. Strawberry extract has a lot of great properties that are often associated with anti aging and skin care which is why I like using it in my personal blends. It gives my oils a natural sweet note while still feeling grown and not artificial. A little goes a long way and the quality is good. I like having this as an option for homemade products so everything isn't all cookie-cutter, store-bought fragrances. I definitely keep this stocked for my personal mixes.
I ordered the strawberry extract to make hard candy with!! it was a lot cheaper than buying the other brand plus it goes a lot farther!! I made several batches of it for Christmas gift baskets and everyone loved it!! Very affordable too 😁
I love trying new extracts when I bake. I recently started getting into batch cooking baked oatmeal, but I felt like something was missing with just the vanilla extract, until I tried this McCormick Strawberry Extract. Now I add 1 teaspoon vanilla extract and 1/2 teaspoon of McCormick Strawberry Extract and oh my goodness, it's so, so good! There's so much flavor I prefer it over a cookie or brownie! I absolutely love it! I don't even miss the sugar that I'd be getting in a cookie or brownie, because my baked oatmeal is now so tasty! Thank you, McCormick, for the opportunity to try and review this Strawberry Extract, it really takes my baking to the next level!
This extract has delicious strawberry flavor. I prefer a dropper top but the pour top works OK with measuring the amount. The taste is great in matcha and would be perfect for any baking needs like fosting, cookies. Etc. I am excited to use this in baking and it easily gives fresh strawberry flavor.
This was great, however it is very easy to go overboard. I made a cottage cheese cheesecake using this extract to give a strawberry flavor. I added a little and didn't taste the extract. I added a little more and suddenly it tasted too much like artificial strawberry with a hint of alcohol. This product may be more ideal for actual cooking.
Cake Batter is the best flavor in this brand. That flavor, I would rate 5 stars across the board! Strawberry, however? No. I had high hopes too, but it does not taste like strawberry, and it is very mild for whatever flavor it actually is. I will definitely purchase the cake batter flavor numerous times in the future and will not purchase this flavor again.
This strawberry flavoring was horrible and very fake tasting. I always use McCormick and never had any issues but this one was horrible. I used it in a smoothy and tried baking with it and it did not taste good at all.
Very misleading. The ‘premium' vanilla contains corn syrup, but the regular strawberry version doesn't? That makes no sense. Premium should mean purer, not filled with cheap sweeteners. Consumers are tired of being tricked by marketing. If you're going to call something ‘premium,' it should be free of unnecessary additives. I'll be buying from a more transparent brand next time.
Horrid. Absolutely revolting strawberry taste. Lingers in the mouth and makes one question why you purchased such a putrid product. I'm not being melodramatic . This product is really that dreadful. I have dozens more adjectives to describe just how vile this product is, but I won't continue. DO NOT BUY
Trying this product I was excited to tried it on a muffin mix. I put nearly 1/4 of the bottle I didn't taste strawberry nothing. This is an extremely mild product maybe you have to use the whole bottle but this isn't worth it at all. It's a waste in my opinion didn't need the extract at all
