Akorn Kamado Smoking Stone

Well made pizza stone and a must have for smoking.

Hubby uses and loves it best price in town it you can find it !evryplace else was alot higher in price and sold out !

Am new to the Kamado, so everything has been a first time for me. I started off with all direct heat set ups and cooked burgers that my wife claims are the best we've made, and grilled chicken that I think was the best we've made. It was great to fill the grill with butterflied boneless skinless chicken breast and make enough to freeze for abuncha menus that have all been awesome. Wanted to try some low/slow smoking. Ordered the smoking stone/heat deflector, and it arrived quickly in good shape. It fits well and does the job nicely. Protects the grill food from intense heat and from open flames when the grill is open. Gives a place to set a pan to catch drippings. So far have smoked our first Boston Butt and St. Louis cut spare ribs. The butt turned out really good. I followed a recipe for the ribs that was not the best, so I get to do that one over before calling it a keeper. Liking the smoking stone/heat deflector so well, that I'm about to order the pizza stone to open even more opportunities. If you're ready for low/slow smoking, don't hesitate pulling the trigger on the smoking stone. Have enjoyed the AKORN kamado so much that we've given the Weber and Traeger to the grandkids starting their own households.

Found the stone to be much more robust. Definitely improves the indirect Heating. Making this Grill and even better buy!

So glad i got this!! Upped my smoke game big time. If you are even the slightest bit intrested in smoking spend the money and get this and the drip pan. You wont regret it

This deflector really helped to even out the smoker heat which makes it easier to find and keep your smoking temperature. Also your drip pan can sit right on top of it which makes the pan easy access

when you go to put this on you need some good heat resistant gloves or at least one glove

Keeps the temp down and allows the smoke to do it's slow dance. Great product.

This stone is very heavy duty which I like. Before, I was using a pizza stone and they crack after a while. Haven't used it yet and that is the only reason I didn't give 5 stars.
