When looking for a meat thermometer, I couldn't believe how inexpensive this one was. I wanted one like this to keep with my grill, so I thought, "well, it will be fine just for that," When I got it, I was pleasantly surprised! This is a really nice quality thermometer just like the chef's carry around in their pockets! I have used this many times already, in my house and by my grill. It is accurate and is a rapid-read, turns off on it's own after a few minutes, and has now become the ONLY thermometer I will buy and recommend from now on!

I had a meat fork with a built in temperature probe that burned out after many years. I saw this thermometer and liked the fact the various temperatures are printed on the front. I used it today to temp some chicken thighs I had baked. I got an accurate reading in seconds. I worked in restaurant kitchens for many years and was taught to always check the temps on my hot and cold items. This makes it so easy to make sure your meat and hot dishes are cooked to the correct temperature.

This is so accurate I use it to take temperatures of non cooking items like people and indoor and outdoor. The read is very fast and the built in magnet is strong. I like to use this on all meats and even crispy stuff like egg rolls to see what temp is inside, Great item, I even got dropped it in the sink and was worried I ruined it but after I let it dry out it worked fine.

I love this! So easy to see! Fast! Would highly recommend this!! However, the shipping was slow. But well worth the wait.

Purchased this meat thermometer based on the reviews. Evidently not many people reviewing this item are actually testing it first. Upon turning it on the first time in a room that was 76 degrees the thermometer read 72 degrees. Upon placing the tip into a pot o boiling water (212 degrees) the thermometer read 207 degrees. The sole purpose of this item is to provide an accurate temperature for cooking meat. If you can't get an accureate reading the item is useless.

a waste of money. Try a glass of ice cubes in water and see what you get. Try it against another thermometer and see what you get. Try it in your home air temp and see what you get. Does not read for ore than three seconds. weak magnet. Try to return and see what you get. Very disappointed.
