CAP Barbell 50 lb Adjustable Vinyl Dumbbell Set

For what I needed this item for , the quality met the need. The price point was perfect as well as the item compatibility for the space it was to be used for.

The hand grips are a little small for me (male who wears large sized gloves). I wear work gloves when using them, which helps. The set comes with quick release spring collar clips, which requite some hand strength to use. I have arthritis which complicates use; but they work okay once I figured out how to grip them. The plates are larger than I expected. There's no room to add more plates once they are fully loaded at 25 lbs. This might limit some people; but it's probably all I'll ever use. The price at around $30 was great when compared to other sets available. Overall, I'm very happy with my purchase.

This was Definitely a great buy. Weights are usually dolar per pound. To get this weight at such a great price is awesome. The grip is easy, the use is practical. A great addition to our home use weights and work outs.

Honestly a great option for a home gym! I have used many dumbells and i love being able to add weight on later and this set adds a cheap way to get into lifting!

Love these barbells and how easy they are to use. My husband loves them also. They are so simple to change the weight on.

Not bad. For their price, they are well worth it, my only concern is the fasteners, they are spring type and I wonder how long they will last. Otherwise they are old school vinyl encased cement. They are more accurate in their weight displacement. Not sure you can depend as much on other manufactured weights. I now I can trust in these. And I like that I can start low and build to more weight then lower for a work down. I am getting old so I need to try to keep muscle mass. This is best for longevity.

I like the easy adjustability, but the clips do not look too strong, so I worry about the weights slipping off the bar during a workout. Just to be clear, it hasn't happened. The clips by themselves look weak. Otherwise, they are great!

set is great overall. only thing i don't like is the spring lock mechanism. it's a little wonky to get on. otherwise good price, quality is there and the weight combination is good.

Really good value for the money. I do with they had molded handles for a better grip, but that's about my only complaint.

Pros: The weights do not have any plastic or rubber odor. The spring collars hold the weights securely and do not loosen during workouts, unlike some other adjustable dumbbells. The weight plates are plastic-coated, so dropping them is less likely to damage your floor. Cons: The grip is not wide enough. My hand barely fits, and during workouts my thumb sometimes rubs against the weight plates, which can scrape the skin and cause irritation or injury. The plastic-coated plates are relatively bulky. When performing exercises like triceps extensions or shoulder presses, you need to be careful when the dumbbells come close to your head.
