I ordered 6 cans of oysters, received only 5.....the box came crushed and, due to not enough packing material. Last week i ordered 2 bottles of ketchup, I received one. They just have trouble with packaging and picking items....... It's a nuisance and not convenient to call...... good company, but their staff let's them down, in the packing and picking department.........
I try to make a batch of oyster stew at least 2x a month. Back in my youth, I would have at least one bowl to replace nutrients my body lost during my menstrual It helps boost my iron intake.
The oysters are always plenty. Big and I either like 'em fried whenever I fix fish or I'll have them and some melted butter with a little bit of hot sauce with some rich crackers all by their cells delicious, either way.
Chicken of the Sea Whole Oysters in an 8 oz can are great %26 I have been eating them for years. A one can meal. Only 150 calories, (NACL) sodium content 520mg, 23 grams of protein and 170 good cholesterols. I keep them in the refrigerator and eat from the can without heating accompanied by hot sauce and crackers. They have been steamed so it is safe. We used to eat right from the shells; before, when it was safe. I keep these for rations in case of hurricanes or other emergencies. So many recipes you can put them in such as a salad, dressings or stews and if you are watching your sodium or cholesterols, have half a can it's very filling. A pantry essential at my house!
I found these oysters to be rubbery and tasteless. They might be okay for cooking but they are not okay by themselves or with cocktail sauce on a cracker.
glad i did not broke a tooth. too many bits of shell.
they were the worst oysters ever. They were mushy and oysters should be solid and firm. It ruined my appetizers for my family. 2 cans I bought and they were aweful
I will never order an item like this to be shipped anymore. Most of the cans arrived dented horribly. The dented ones had to be thrown away for safety.
damaged cans dents in both cans
Both cans arrived dented very badly. Not sure they are usable.
