The elastic cord holding our tent poles broke and needed replacing, and this high-quality cord was exactly the thing that was needed. I preferred this item to other repair kits that included a few other tent pole parts I didn't need. All that was needed for this repair was the cord, and that's what I got.

If you have a tent pole that needs new shock cord, this is the stuff. With the exception of the color (ours had a red stripe and this had a blue stripe), it is identical to the OEM shock cord for our tent.

This was only long enough for one pole for a 7 man Coleman dome tent. It fit well through the pole shafts and seems as sturdy as the original shock cord.

Not a particularly robust, strong cord. Just needs to be carefully matched to the application. For some things it may be just what the doctor ordered. Tension cord for tent stakes.. not so much.

When I shopped for this product, this was the item suggested for my needs with replacing the cord in my Samsonite umbrella. Unfortunately, it was not the correct product, and it was a waste of money!! Couldnt even return it after I opened it and found out that it was a bungy cord type product, rather than the proper type cord I needed for my project. Ughhhh!
