Great Value Brown Rice, Whole grain, 16 oz

Value brand for brown rice. I like to go for brown rice over white whenever possible. The texture and taste differences are negligible enough that I think the health differences are worth the swap. This isn't the highest quality brown rice, it doesn't have the most refined aroma or taste but it met all of my expectations for a basic rice and tasted good in the dishes I used it in.

Thank you for being so quick to bring my rice out it was worth the money and my husband has cancer and am trying to feed him healthy. Thanks to the boys that delivered for ringing the door bell so I know when it was here thanks guys you were a life saver thanks Walmart

I mix this half and half with white rice, cook or soak the brown first so it gets done with the shorter cooking time of white rice. Why? Fluffiness and bulk fiber. If you only eat one type, make it brown. Only brown has protein and whole grain nutrition, plus the fiber. That's why white rice is usually vitamin fortified. The high fiber of brown rice reduces the chance of colon cancer and the same goes for white vs. whole grain flour and bread. Asian people who switched to whole grains grow up taller!

I tried these burritos just to save some money, and I was quite surprised at the size and quality of the product. I shared one with my roomie, and now we both have these for lunch a couple times a week. They are quick to prepare in the microwave at the office.

By itself, very bland. To be fair even white rice is pretty bland. Once you add what you want it's hardly different from white rice and a healthier option for me.

This is not whole grain rice. They will send you long grain. Apparently, that's what the picture is, but I didn't notice when ordering. 😡. Also to the people complaining about bugs. Thats why you put rice in your freezer for a day or two when you bring it home. Bugs are very common in rice. Freezing it will kill them then you rence it before cooking. They will float and you dump the water.

Great Value Brand...found a ***GIANT BLACK WEAVEL BUG*** in it after cooked and had a couple of bites. Just never know about food anymore!! Over priced and bad quality!! Might as well sell me a bag of bugs as far as I'm concerned. Gross!! THREW ALL OF IT IN THE TRASH!!!

Got home and then laced into my rice jar. Immediately throwing this away. Has tiny bugs running around in it!! Won't let me upload the video of them crawling around 🤢

Very dissatisfied with this brand of rice. It actually gave me heartburn and I was not expecting these little flakes in the rice that are not chewable.

Have purchased this exact rice in the past and no problems. The most recent bag purchased 1 week ago was awful. Wouldn't cook properly and the rice never got soft enough.
