I only buy the Great Value walnuts whether they're whole or chopped because they taste just as good as the name brand but cost less and anything that will save me money, I'm going with. The only issue I've ever had with these walnuts, is that every now and then there will be parts of the shell mixed in with the walnuts. Unless you sit there and go through the whole bag just to double check, you could end up mixing shells in with your recipe and someone bites down on it and could crack a tooth. So I think they need to be a little more careful about that but otherwise good walnuts especially for the price.
Shaped like a bran and easy to store, these humble members of the tree nut family pair well with other protein sources to carry nutrients directly into the brain, where they can work magic on even the most severely depleted systems. These are English walnuts that are easier to grow and harvest than the (in)famous black walnuts with a completely different profile of husks, hulls, shells and roots. I can testify, however, the I get good results with internal healing and stress management with these nuts, pairing them with sprouted and peeled almonds, eggs, berries and bananas.
My whole life has been RICH with nuts. I don't remember ever, not eating nuts. We had trees all around us with nuts. When I traveled to Asia I wanted to find some nuts. Nuts and seeds have a long story of good health for millions. I always have nut at my home. Walnuts will go with anything. Or by themselves.
I love these Great Value Walnuts. I like to eat them with yogurt. As a side with oranges, I like to eat them as a side with boiled eggs-No Yolk…I like to eat them alone as a snack. I also like to top them on my cereal. They are delicious and they don't taste salty.. They don't have sodium.
Great for my heart, I eat these every day in my low-carb/high-fat salad. I am quite happy that I tried these. I was starting to believe that walnuts were something I would have to give up. I was sick of purchasing rancid nuts from different brands and stores, even though they weren't expired when I bought them.

Walnuts Walnuts go rancid fast because of omega‑3 oils. Plastic bags accelerate oxidation and leaching. Clean, cheap alternatives: A. Compostable cellulose bags Made from wood pulp. Clear Breathable Fully biodegradable Cost: $0.04–$0.07 per bag Already used for produce in Europe B. Paper‑foil hybrid pouches Paper outside, thin aluminum inside. Zero plastic Blocks oxygen Keeps nuts fresh Cost: $0.06–$0.10 per pouch C. Glass jars (for premium brands) Reusable, clean, but heavier. D. Mushroom‑mycelium trays paper wrap Fully compostable Cheap to produce Already used for mushrooms and berries Cost: $0.05–$0.08 per tray
This bag of raw walnuts was perfect. The nuts are some of the freshest walnuts I have ever purchased and I will continue to buy them as long as you are supplying a really great fresh product.
Great Value Walnuts are the best tasting walnuts I know of! I eat them all the time at breakfast and for a snack. So good for you in different ways! I'm glad Walmart has them, helping me to make them a regular part of my diet! I'm not sure if the largest bag available at Walmart is also available for Walmart delivery. If not, I recommend that it would be.
Walmart Great Value Walnuts whole %26 half pieces are unsatisfactory. 1/4 of package was , what I describe, as nut dust. I had to go through this to get any nuts. It felt unsanitary not knowing what this was. I will pay a little extra %26 get a better brand.
