This Great Value Low Sodium Taco Seasoning is my go-to seasoning for most Mexican cuisine dishes like tacos, burritos, enchiladas, taco bowls etc. I don't actually need low sodium for any dietary or health reasons, I just think the lower sodium seasoning has a more intense flavor than the regular taco seasoning. So, I prefer this taco seasoning because it's affordable and because it has a very strong flavor. And, after years of using this taco seasoning, it's always consistent. So, it's a staple of mine now. Dependable and flavorful.
Wanting tacos but not the high blood pressure? Then Great Value (aka GV) Less Sodium Taco Seasoning is for you. This seasoning is so good, I don't even use meat in my tacos. I use plant-based crumbles instead and with this seasoning, you can't taste the difference. Mmm-mmm good. So enjoy Taco Tuesdays without getting stern looks from your doctor.
We use this very often. I buy the low sodium just because I want to cuta of the added sodium from my family's diet, as they get plenty eating other foods. So, I cut where I can. This taco seasoning is very good. The flavor and color is no different from the regular one. I use it to season the Carolina ground turkey, as I can't afford to buy ground beef anymore ! We make tacos, burritos, a casserole called taco rice, taco pasta and more ! I also use it to season the G.V. canned chicken breast, for burritos and tacos. I use it to make a tasty snack, by melting some butter, placing the slightly warm butter into a gallon zippered bag with two sleeves of G.V. unsalted crackers. I gently shake the crackers until they're coated with butter, then, I add in a packet of the low sodium taco seasoning, and give that a mix to coat the crackers well. Then, I lay the crackers out on baking sheets, and bake them at 350°F, for about 15 - 20 minutes. Then, I cool them down and put them into a clean gallon sized zippered bag. They never last long. My family loves them ! I also mix together, well, one packet of this taco seasoning, with two packets of G.V. ranch dressing mix. I put it into a shaker jar, for my grandkids, who love taco/ranch seasoning on their microwave popcorn. it's very affordable priced at a little over 2/$1 ! I don't just buy it when I'm making tacos or the other dishes I mentioned. I keep a few packets in my pantry, just for those times when I haven't planned anything particular for dinner, so we do tacos or burritos, or we just want some taco seasoning on something.
Very easy to use to pull your recipe together or prepare a meal a little quicker. I have used these several times and plan to continue purchasing them. Also great deal because each packet is about half of the price of other brands.
Use for all Mexican recipes 😋 Like the lower sodium for health and tastes the same as regular. Win win!
I like this packet, it makes homemade tacos taste really good and flavorful. It is super simple to use and makes it easy and fast. I use it in my tacos and with my refried beans. It is really a great value.
Can't tell the difference with this and the regular. Since my blood pressure is elevated I'll be sticking with this taco seasoning for now on. It has the same taste and texture as the regular just not as much sodium. Can't argue with the price either.
Easy to make tacos with this.
good seasoning I use it all the time when I'm making tacos has a good flavor to it
I tried the low sodium version from Food Lion .69 on Sale, .79 Regular Price. It taste much better to me.
