Classy on the counter

Alison June 20, 2025

This microwave is beautiful. The finishes I the white a stainless steel perfectly match my kitchen. It’s not the huge monster we used to have. It perfectly fits a dinner plate of food to heat up and pops a perfect bag of popcorn. So far so good. Even has a door lock mechanism although I’m not really sure why.

If your on a budget, this works!

Kate June 8, 2025

I just purchased, but easy to set up. Some reviews mention the child lock being a problem but it's really not. Marginal stainless steel, 2 strips are stainless steel. The handle is plastic which is a concern as to how long it will hold up. Don't bother with extended warranty, these microwaves are designed to last 5-7 yrs. That's how long my last Hamilton Beach lasted. Budget wise, it fit for me . I do question the 1000 watts? But anything less isn't worth it.

Cheap but effective enough.

Jose May 29, 2025

It does the job. The locking "feature" is a pain, you have to unlock to open. Appearance wise, from a distance, it looks fine, but this microwave's budget pricing is cheap for a reason. Construction is definitely on the cheap. But it heats food effectively, there's sufficient room in the oven, and that's really all I need it to do. 4 out of 5 stars it is.

Can't remove sticker glue off front of microwave.

Richard December 7, 2025

Why would the manufacturer put a sticker on the front glass door of this microwave, that leaves a very sticky glue residue behind? I went to the store and purchased goof off to try to remove the glue residue. No luck. It's a decent microwave, but there's a sticky glue residue on the front door that seems almost impossible to get off without scratching it. Foolish.

get rid of the child lock

James March 4, 2026

the microwave itself is pretty good but I hate the child lock you can turn it off but next time you use it the lock is back on!?!?! I don't have any need of it. There are no children that are ever in my apartment there needs to be a way to totally eliminate it not just shut it off until the door is closed again extremely annoying

We bought the previous model and liked it. However, on the new one, the door locks and you have to cancel the settings before you open. Hate the extra step.

Hope your kitchen is brightly lighted...

Anonymous July 23, 2025

I previously had a Hamilton Beach microwave with which I was happy. When that one died, I bought this one. While this one works ok, this new one has a problem with the start and stop buttons being "dark" and harder to see. The other keys are white and are easily visible, however for some unknown reason, the designers chose to make the start and stop buttons very dark colored making it hard to see. This is odd, especially since unlike my old one, this one has a timer that is so brightly lighted that it could almost be used as a beacon for low flying aircraft (ok, a bit of hyperbole there, but it IS very bright white) . I'm not gonna try to deal with this, it's going back. I would not recommend this oven to anyone who wants an easy to read start and stop button.

A basic Microwave with a design flaw….

Dawn September 22, 2025

The Microwave seems fine. It is a basic mid powered offering. Fine if you are looking for something to primarily reheat foods. I have, however, run into 2 problems. One could easily be resolved but the other is a little concerning. 1) I have been unable to clean the adhesive they used to attach the sticker to the door on the glass. I have used Goof Off, Alcohol and glass cleaner. Acetone would be the next option but I am concerned that it might eat away at the finish. I have attached a pic of the residue that has been left behind. 2) The microwave starts on its own if you ever so slightly pull the door open. The machine actually comes on and the tray starts to spin. I realized this was happening when I was trying to remove the above fore mentioned sticker. I am able to repeat this manually by ever so gently pulling on the handle. I don’t have children around my house so I am not overtly worried about it but it does raise a couple questions as to why it’s happening and whether or not it’s dangerous. I would post a video but Walmart doesn’t allow it. These 2 issues are enough to make me suggest people look elsewhere if they need a Microwave.

The older version was far better!!!

BobBurger November 19, 2025

I need to know who is the idiot who had the good idea of putting the sticker that can't be peeled right on the front door, and did that same idiot design the door lock system? Someone needs to be fired because I'm 30 seconds from returning this stupid thing! I only bought this one because I had the previous model, and it was excellent. Whoever made these changes needs to be fired immediately!

After a very short time. I noticed a smell coming from microwave when using. It was the smell of hot electronics. After a few min of using microwave, it would shut off. I cant undrrstand how things like this happen shortly after purchasing it. Quality is very bad for this to happen practically right out of the box, Now I have to go tjrough the pain of getting it sent back. Not happy at all with this microwave.
