Lodge Cast Iron 11" Savor the Outdoors, Seasoned Square Griddle, Black

Just made a n8ce batch of pancakes this morning. As to be expected with a square shape, the corners do not heat up as much so I compensate by putting the pancake batters on the corner and the center last. thay come out pretty much done the same time this way. With some oil, no pancakes stuck. Quality you would expect from Lodge.

This is the best pancake, french toast, grilled cheese, amd panini pan ever! It's big enough to put 4 pancakes on at a time, or for one big, plate sized pancake. It's definitely my go-to for all the above, plus steaks and bacon too!

Solid Cast Iron, the same outstanding quality that I have come to expect from Lodge. I can't believe the low price for a Seasoned Cast Iron Griddle made in Tennessee, USA. This is a great Griddle for hamburgers, cheese toasties, eggs %26 bacon on the glass stovetop, it lays flat %26 cooks evenly. My wife bought a Farberware 11 Inch Square Griddle, it doesn't lay flat or cook evenly, it is junk, she thought it was a bargin, it is in my scrap pile now. This summer I will take this Griddle with me, in my motorcycle trailer when I go camping, it is a perfect fit for my Portable 1 Burner Butane Gas Camping Stove. If you go to Tennessee, I suggest you go see the Lodge Museum %26 Factory Store in South Pittsburg, Tennessee, I loved it. This is something that will be passed down to my Grandkids, as I have a Lodge Cast Iron Skillet from my grandparents that they bought before the Great Depression.

PFAS FREE replacement for old non-stick better than expected. Works great for burgers and grilled sandwiches. Used with the 11 inch burger press (a perfect fit) can make all the burgers in the American Burgers cookbook (featured on Seth Meyers). It makes 70/30 ground beef a useful bargain in combination with your favorite spatula. Can’t wait to try it on chops or rib eye!

This pans come pre seasoned so once you open it’s basically ready to use. I did wipe down with water than put on burner on high to dry and the rubbed olive oil over skillet. I cooked an egg on skillet came out very easy no sticking. A cheese quesadilla was yummy and very little oil added. Cleanup was easy just wiped down re heated and oiled up. This is a very heavy skillet so not easy to use. And the handle gets very hot so have a towel ready.

Fantastic, high quality, cast iron, square griddle with handle. I used it on a ceramic cooktop without any heating issues at all. Look at the beautiful browning of the bread on the ham & cheese sandwich I made. Perfection! To get started, wash, dry, and warm-up, then put on your choice of high temp oil. Let cool, then wipe any excess off. The cooking area is 11" square. There is a long handle and smaller lifter tab to help move this heavy cast iron griddle. I do wish they would have included a silicone handle wrap, otherwise, perfection! And to top it all off, *MADE IN THE USA!!!*

It looks nice but its much heavier than I expected. Doesn't seem to heat as evenly as my warped aluminum griddle. When I fry eggs on it, black stuff is coming off the griddle onto my eggs - probably not healthy but definitely not appetizing.

I thought that this would be a great griddle that I wouldn't have to keep replacing. It is heavy and the food sticks. It doesn't seem to heat evenly.

Edges of the cast iron pan are rough like it was cut wrong along one side and poor seasoning along another side with pieces of seasoning chipped off. Cooking surface is good and looks like it will work great after a good seasoning.

When I received this griddle I went ahead and washed it. As I was drying it, I noticed rust in 3 placed already on the pan. I sent it back and received a replacement one. Before I washed it, I noticed it was shipped with 3 small places of rust already on it at the base of the handle. Cheap griddles ! Look elsewhere for better quality ! Walmart's site wouldn't let me upload pics to show proof of the rust.
