Lodge Cast Iron Enamel

Lee March 30, 2026

I love Lodge products and these enamel are even better and prettier! They are great to cook in as they are so versatile, from stovetop to oven! They cook evenly and clean like a dream and don't need to be seasoned with every use. I love it!

I can't express how much I love the Lodge cast iron ceramic cookware!! They cook evenly, no burning or sticking, can simmer, fry, bake, and store leftovers in the refrigerator, rewarm, and it's an easy clean up! I just love this set!! I have three different sizes and can't wait to get more pieces. 💗

A must have, Quality cast iron cookware

66442oldsman January 1, 2014

Only had the 3qt for a few weeks, but we've had the 6qt for about 5 years, it is used average 2 to 3 time's a week to cook vegetables, soups, stews, chili, roasts, it will sear meat like nobody's business, then is so easy to scrape the brown bits to make a beef roast stand up and be proud to be called Dinner. It caramelizes onions so perfectly you'll want to slap, well you know. After all the years of use and abuse we put it thru the enamel is just starting to spiderweb in the bottom. We have just received the new 7.8qt. The quality is A#1 as is with all the Lodge products we have, and we have and use a lot of them.

love love love it. I was especially happy that the inside of the pot is white. wasn't sure when I ordered it. I have several new reds in my kitchen and this red dutch oven joined in just beautifully! I used it immediately. I cooked up a tastey chicken dish for me and the hubby. started stove top n finished in the oven. cooks great! can't say enough. just very happy with it. wanted one for a long time. this was a great purchase at a reasonable price. I don't bother to put it away. stays on stove top. I use it all the time. can't wait til I get the 6qt. I just ordered!

Beautiful Pot

CookwareFiend January 26, 2014

I own a Le Creuset, a Sur La Table braiser (styled after Staub), and regular Lodge Logic non-enamled cast iron pans. As far as heat retention and using less gas, I've found all to be equal. So in this respect, there is not much difference that I can tell. I wanted the Le Creuset 3.5 wide round, but at $150 compared to this 3 qt. Lodge at $39, I decided I'd try the Lodge with the hopes of saving money and having this size pot sooner rather than later. I am really glad I ordered this. It's a great size for reheating food on the stove, as well as cooking a smaller sized meal. For a family of 5, or if you like to make more food for left overs, you should also get at least a 6.5 and up dutch oven. I was impressed too with the quality control of the Lodge. I'm extremely picky about my kitchen items and this pot had no finish imperfections, which is beneficial for longevity. However, I will not kid myself in believing this pot will keep its enamel the way my Le Creuset will. I am not rough with enameled pots, but LC enamel is far superior--But at a superior cost! I don't want to wait for years or feel ultra guilty for wanting various sized enameled cast iron. So far, I'm very pleased with my Lodge; it's well made, attractive, and performs as it should.

Beautiful asset to my kitchen.

LWhitefeather July 29, 2014

The Lodge 3-quart Dutch oven is without a doubt one of the best purchases I have made. First, it was priced well below many other brands, so it was a real bargain. Second, it is of a good size for everything from frying chicken to making stir fry or even baking bread, and is not too heavy to handle, even though it is made of cast iron. Third, it is a quality built piece of cookware that will be around for many years. And fourth, it is truly beautiful, and as I said in the summary, a beautiful asset to my kitchen.

LOVE Lodge Enamel Cast Iron 3 Quart Dutch Oven

Winddanz May 14, 2013

Beautiful and functional item. Great to cook with and doesn't scratch my glass top stove. My mom had one like it when I was growing up and I always loved it. Like all cast iron it heats evenly. With the enamel coating on the inside you have no worries about cooking acidic foods. I love this. I searched the web for this item for several weeks . Wal-Mart has the cheapest prices of anywhere that I was able to find. On a side note I bought this as a ship to store item. They were great about letting me know with email and texts when to expect it and what to do to get it picked up without any hassle. It arrived on the day they said it would. So I really like this service as well.

Needs better Shipping!

Shannon December 19, 2024

The product is great. The shipping leaves a lot to be desired. Open packaging, wording describing what the item is, and not in an outer box. This was to be a Christmas gift... it isn't a surprise because of the shipping!

Good for stews, not for frying

Cindy March 22, 2026

Lodge makes a terrific cast iron, but this smaller Dutch oven is round on the bottom so not good for frying as I was hoping. It also seems to weigh almost the same as the 5-quart. I threw the box away, or I would return it.
