McCormick Original Country Gravy Mix, 2.64 oz Packet

we keep this gravy mix for putting on mashed and boiled potatoes, chicken strips, chicked fried steak, sausage patties, biscuits. it also makes a good "sauce" to put on the crust for breakfast pizza...just top this gravy with scrambled eggs, bacon or ground sausage, crispy crown potatoes, shredded cheddar, and chopped onion before baking.

I love making country fried steak at home in the McCormick brand is the only packet I feel like taste the best for making the gravy for the country fried chicken that I normally make I've tried a lot of different brands and they literally don't ever compare to this one this is my favorite and my go-to so I hope they never change the recipe to it

Who doesn't like gravy ? From mashed potatoes, to biscuits! Also, don't forget chicken fried steak! Delicious flavor! So very easy to prepare! 2 cups of cold water (don't forget to sprinkle a lil love in it!) in the pan on simmer and then the magic happens, it thickens when ready to a delicious gravy!

Soooo delicious! I add cooked and cut up chicken breakfast sausage to the gravy over biscuits. The McCormick sausage flavored country gravy is also very good if you can find it.

This gravy was super easy to make, you just slowly add 2 cups of water in with the gravy packet bring to a boil and then simmer for a minute and turn it off. The gravy kept getting thicker as it cooled, so it was a great consistency. I was so disappointed… I wish they would make another brand of this gravy with no pepper in it, so people can pepper it how much they want to and people like me with allergies, can still have it as well.

I really wanted to love this because I love chicken fried chicken and that's exactly what I made! I had the chicken paired with some mashed potatoes and green beans to make a whole meal. I used the gravy to smother the chicken and mashed potatoes. The gravy was easy to make and only requires water. It only took 4 minutes in the microwave. I tried it as is and it lacked a bit of seasonings so I had to add salt, pepper and garlic powder. With the added seasoning, it was just ok.

The gravy is great, but one of the packages had a hole in it and got all over part of my order.

Package mislabeled. Was Country PEPPER not regular country style and the black pepper was overwhelming!!!!
