Easy to set up Good picture quality. Very reliable product overall.

Video quality is great, very easy to set up, simple but useful interface. The motion detection is a little sensitive, even on 'low' setting, it will pick up folks across the street in their garage. Depending where you live, that could be a good thing. I would definitely buy this exact setup again

I upgrade my old 8channel 1080p to the 4K... The quality is just like they stated! Vivid & much better, the field of view is wider also. Only negative is thde DVR doesnt have audio in like my old one; I only had one audio camera anyway. So, it was a good trade.

Installation was super easy since I was upgrading from an older night owl system and used the same wires. DVR interface is really nice. I don't really care for the mobile app. It takes too many steps to get to the live view. Record sensitivity isn't as accurate as my old system did which is disappointing but overall it is satisfactory.

have my unit in the garage. I will need cord extensions for the far side of the house (3 cameras). I have a difficult time adding my wife on her phone via night owl protector app, I have a difficult time retrieving my password to view the dvr from a monitor. Other than that great value and would recommend to anyone

Camera system seems to be decent, it is an upgrade to what we had that's for sure. Beware though that a camera in our set, the infrared didn't work. When we reached out to customer service, they have refused help because our purchase was online but instore pickup and the receipt doesn't say Walmart on it only the city and supercenter. They claim that the city supercenter isn't an authorized dealer. Then we reached out to Walmart 3 times for a receipt with correct information. Neither time did that happen. No email received. Went to Walmart in person and the print off they can give us is what we can get online, so no change. So their suggestion is to return the product for a refund. so, take down all 8 cameras and wiring to replace one camera, that's ridiculous and unnecessary.

We have owned the night our security system for several years, we are on our third system. The last system that finally wore out this week we purchased in 2017 and utilized The night owl HD app. I utilize an old tablet as a monitor in my work area so that I can see when I have deliveries. The tablet is mounted and displayed my four primary cameras throughout the day uninterrupted. It is too far from the system itself to use a cable to have the normal monitoring. This app is absolutely useless for a constant monitoring. It shuts down right at the most inapt time and then takes forever going through all the steps to get it back up and running again. Basically this app is made my system useless for my every day use and is making me reconsider night owls system.

The system is easy to install and the camera images are great. The only complaint is that their customer service (if it even exists) can’t be reached. I called and a recording says the wait time is 10 minutes but that they will return my call. A call back to me was made but it rang once and hung up. I called back 4 more times but this time the recordings said to leave a message. I did but never heard back. I tried their website but it says that it is undergoing maintenance and provides you with the same instructions that comes with the camera system. Pretty lousy way of doing business. I was interested in adding on some other products of theirs but will now go elsewhere if that’s the kind of support they provide.

Crappy settings options. No worthy features. System is already glitching less than a month being used. Very disappointed. There's no camera adjustments or options. Putting the Correct password won't unlock it since it's not connected to internet. Not compatible with wifi internet. Licence plates don't show up visibly. Audio isn't recorded. Audio isn't two way or customizable. Terrible settings options in general.

So I've ordered not one set, but a total of 3 sets of these camera systems. I have several properties I needed monitored. So I purchased them. However, these camera systems absolutely SUCK. They don't stay connected to the internet. I even changed internet providers thinking it was the internet causing the issues. It wasn't! The quality of the pictures also sucks. I would be better off setting up an old cellphone pointed outside. Never again will I purchase anything from Night owl
