NOW Supplements, L-Lysine (L-Lysine Hydrochloride) 1,000 mg, Double Strength, Amino Acid, 100 Tablets

When I first took this product, I noticed that I have clearer skin. Then I ran out and switch to other brand, well it did not work out well. So I switched back and got my clear skin back. I still have cold sore 1 - 2 times a year, but with this, it's just a mild one and gone in a few days instead of 2 weeks.

Lycene was recommended to me by my doctor, who is a natural-path M.D., to help prevent shingles. I've been using it for years and so far - no shingles. Lycene has a number of health benefits. I find it helps a lot with general back pain and even helps when I have the occasional fibromyalsia flare-up. It isn't a pain reliever; it just helps with muscle aches without the drugs. I particularly like NOW vitamins because they are less inclined to fill their vitamins with a lot garbage. I have allergies to corn, which is in a shocking number of vitamins, for some reason. No corn with the NOW Lycene. I've found NOW as a brand to be reliable. I shop this brand first for all of my vitamins. Since Lycene cannot hurt you, even w/ higher doses (within reason, of course), I'd recommend NOW's Lycene for everyone.

While I think Lysine is important to take for so many reasons, the 1,000 mg tablets are so large that they have stuck in my throat. I am going to exchange them for 500 mg tablets.
