If you are not used to these peppercorns, be aware that they contain chemicals that can make your mouth and tongue tingle and go a bit numb. It's confusing and even scary if you don't know ahead of time that that can happen. Think of it like trying a hot pepper for the first time, not knowing that hot peppers can burn. It's best to know these things ahead of time! I recommend using small amounts to see if you don't mind the odd sensations. These taste really good, though, and are worth a try!
Super fresh citrusy flavor (slightly bitter like an orange/lemon rind) that quickly numbs the tongue without being spicy. I add it to the szechuan peppers to make Mala Beef, or in addition to, add fermented broad bean paste to make Mapo (Ma Po) Tofu. A little goes a long way. Looking forward to making szechuan chili paste as well
Prepare yourself for a numbing of your mouth, don't use too much but warms you up as it flows all the way down! I just love it!
great taste' few calories, perfect night snack when you are pn low carb diet
Very fresh and flavor was amazing.
Really good -very strong, a lot of taste!
I like it. Added together with peppercorn medley and white peppercorns, it gave another level of flavor
For some reason this points to Red instead of Green for the , but we bought the green. It does what it is supposed to and makes you sneeze, even in very small quanities.
I canceled this order because it would take too long to get then it shows up 2 weeks later so I had to return it.
Price isn't a value in comparison to quality and quantity. Will not purchase again.
