It is so nice to use. I had a really small colander before and I love that I can drain a pot of pasta with it spilling over. Also, this is great to use to rinse fruit off. Great product!!

Use only stainless steel colanders to drain your hot foods and prevent the melting of the plastic onto your food, which you feed to your family, and which results in all of us ingesting, plastic micro particles!!!!!

When I saw this strainer I had to have it! I had problems with others - made of screen material and other materials which caught cooked pasta in the holes and were difficult to clean. This is nothing like them. Practical and well designed. I love it!

When I first laid eyes on the OXO Stainless Steel 5 Qt Colander, I thought, how good can a colander really be? Let me tell you, folks, this is no ordinary pasta drainer—this is a life upgrade. First off, this colander is stainless steel, which means it could probably survive a zombie apocalypse. It's sturdy enough to double as a helmet if you're ever caught in an impromptu medieval reenactment. And at 5 quarts, it's big enough to strain not just your spaghetti but also your existential dread. The handles? Oh, the handles! They're soft, non-slip, and ergonomically designed for people who take straining noodles way too seriously. I've never felt so in control while rinsing lettuce. It's like gripping the wheel of a luxury yacht. And the drainage holes—oh, the holes. They're perfectly spaced for maximum water evacuation. Water practically sprints out of this thing. I drained my spaghetti so fast, I half expected it to come with a speed limit sign. But the best part? This colander has feet. FEET! It stands up on its own, looking proud and majestic on my counter like the king of kitchen tools. I almost saluted it. Is it possible to feel emotional about a colander? Yes. Is it worth the slightly ridiculous price? Absolutely. Every time I use it, I feel like I'm straining pasta for royalty. Final verdict: 10/10, would drain again.

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS SELLER! I paid substantialy more for this because it advertised that it is the original design of the OXO Colander! This IS NOT WHAT I RECIEVED!! I am so angry at being taken advantage of and lied to!
