My Health Care Provider recommended it to help lower blood sugar. Be advised : It also slows blood clotting--often called blood thinning. I endured a week of Severe nose bleeds, but I was also taking a baby aspirin and Turmeric. All of which the Doc. pulled me off of until they cleared my system. Went back on Berberine a week later and the bleeding started again, not as bad, but I'm off of all of it now and so far so good. Ya Gotta be careful Even If the Doc. prescribes or suggests it!
