RAGU Chunky Garden Combination Vegetable Pasta Sauce, 24 oz

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love RAGU! This was a different flavor than I normally buy but definitely great for when I need something easy and quick to throw together. It is not too thick but thick enough. I used to with my chickpea pasta and chicken meatballs!

This flavor is one of my favorites and I think it's a step up from an original marinara. The texture is just thick enough and has a bold flavor profile. I would highly recommend this. I liked that it was chunky and had some tomato chunks. The flavor was wonderful and I loved that you get a serving of vegetables in each half cup serving! Great for trying to sneak in more veggies. For the price this sauce is, and how good it is, I think I might save myself the time of making it homemade and just pick up some more of this!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I typically either make my own pasta sauce or modify premade ones cause I typically don't think sauces are seasoned enough straight from the jar. I thought the sauce tasted good, but a little flat and the veggie flavors definitely came through though. I ended up adding salt, pepper, Italian seasoning, garlic, and a little crushed red pepper. It's also a little sweet (like a lot of other comparably priced jarred sauces) so next time I'll probably throw in a dash of red wine vinegar to cut that down. I liked the chunky texture too, that part made it seem more expensive and high quality, For my personal tastes, I'm unsure if I'd buy again because it took a lot of adjusting to get the flavor the way I wanted but it had a good base with the tomato and chunky bits. But if you're less picky, this is probably a great sauce with extra added veggies and a really nice texture. The jar was easy to open and close again so you can store any leftover sauce.
