Spring Valley Red Yeast Rice Dietary Supplement Capsules, 600 mg, 120 Count

My Asian friend suggested I take this supplement when my cholesterol spiked for the 1st time. My doctor told me if it didn't come down he'd put me on prescription meds. I only weight 135lbs so he said to take only one per day. It worked. i told my doctor what I did, he smiled broadly.

My cholesterol was getting pretty bad, and I cannot tolerate the side effects from most of the prescription drugs...statins in particular... so my Dr recommended I try this product, along with extended release niacin...I did so for 5-6 weeks before my labs, and my cholesterol levels are dropping very nicely! The side effects aren't as extreme as with statins, so I will continue to do so as long as my Dr continues to recommend this for me.

They are easy to swallow for size. My cholesterol levels stay down as long as I take them. They work for me.

Label should clearly identify how much of the active ingredient is in each capsule. Apparently there is a ‘natural' statin in the product. Won't know how well it works until next CMP!
