Said brand fish sauce
One of the best fish sauces we tried. We cook a lot of asian/Thai dishes and fish sauce is a must! Even when used in traditional western cuisine, it just gives it that certain kick, in a way like Maggi does. Try it in your salad dressing, just a splash, along with lime juice and a bit of palm sugar. It does not make your dish taste "fishy"! Do not be put off by the smell, experiment with the sauce. We prefer it to soy sauce.

Big Bottle, hope you have pantry size tall cabinet
Havent tried this yet... This is suppose to have a fish smell and flavor, but when you use it, its a flavor enhancer .. the flavor is suppose to blend and not taste fishy. Id image it would be like high end restaurants using fish flavors as part of a recipe you wouldnt imagine would be an ingredients .. saucie and soup dishes mostly I think... A lot of chinese food recipes call for this ingredient which I just havent been cooking a lot of lately.

what a name
It's a good salty fish sauce suited to stir-fries. The brand name is magic -- Squid Brand Fish Sauce! And there is no squid in it!

Interesting...
Its a flavor enhancer in cooking and a salt substitute. The taste is literally that fishy smell at a fish market - bottled. Take a spoon to the tuna water in canned tuna, and times that by 100!

fish sauce
Price on this bottle is unreasonable. The industry is still not upping their pay to their employees, while buyers are wiling to plunk down more than $3.00 to fatten greedy CEOs of the fish markets.

Too expensive!
Asian store price right now is around $3.50 per bottle. Can't believe the price at Walmart too high!
