Terrasoul Superfoods Organic Raw Cacao Nibs, 1 Lb - Superfood Crunch for Smoothie Bowls, Nut Butter Spreads, Oatmeal and DIY Chocolate Creations

Cacao nibs were recommended to me by a chocolatier and nurse as a way to get the chocolate taste without all the calories and sugar of conventional chocolate. I wasn't sure what to expect because I thought they might not be as good-tasting without the sugar to offset the taste. When I tasted them by themselves, I thought they were chocolatey tasting but also kind of bitter and strong. However, when I put them on some ice cream, I thought that they added quite a bit with a little texture and chocolatey taste without tasting too overpowering. I bought the Terrasoul Superfoods brand because I had purchased other items from them in the past, and I was impressed by the good quality and taste of the other items. I was glad I paid a little more for this brand because it was definitely worth it.

Great price although the price on cacao nibs is way up from a few years ago, or even last year. They are good quality, not sweetened or sweet, I would not particularly munch on them plain, but I add them to cookies, brownies, and yogurt. I am thinking of adding them to savory stir fry dishes too but have not tried yet. Have not bought this brand before but this was the best price I could find anywhere I looked, lots of older brands have disappeared for some reason.

One of my favorite snacks. Terrasoul products have delighted me for years. Bitter Chocolate w a satisfying crunch. A foundation of my personal trail mix.

I've been disappointed with cacao nibs in the past bc they were too dry and/or stale. These seem to be fresh and yet still crunchy without being too hard to eat comfortably. Go great in oatmeal or drizzled with a bit of maple syrup for a sweet snack.

Exactly what I wanted. Cacao nibs in bulk, truly a great superfood. If you roast them a bit they smell amazing — who doesn't like chocolate?

It was great, the color is great, it's great on a filling yogurt bowl and there's pockets of flavor.

I don't necessarily see or taste any major difference in a fermented product than a non-fermented product.

not a good taste at all. kinda sour and biting taste. I understand theyre healthier with lower heavy metals but really the taste is bad. lots of shell pieces in it also have to be very careful with your teeth.

This does not live up to the traditional description of a nib. It has been defatted and the item description does not make note of that. IT is basically a Fiber. There is no cacao Goodness in this bag of nibs i received.
