I don't use cream of tartar for cooking. I have occasionally. I use it as a cleaning agent around the house. I really get the most out of it using it to clean the fiberglass type bathtubs like I have in a mobile home. They tend to yellow over time due to uv light exposure. Dampen your tub, shower, sink, sprinkle some cream of tartar on then top it with hydrogen peroxide, let it sit for at least an hour, scrub or wipe what is needed and you see a huge difference in the color. You're welcome. Oh, and it's good I sugar cookies to give them a little something.

This gluten-free affordable cream of tartar is what my budget calls for. As a retiree on a fixed income, I have to watch every penny that goes out. I cook all my meals from scratch at home. I never eat out except on a special occasion. Cream of tartar is a must have in my spices cupboard.

I never buy cream of tartar because I've never needed it but my son's wife loves snickerdoodles and you need it to give snickerdoodles that certain texture and snickerdoodle flavor. I use this in all my cookie and baking recipes. You will see the difference and your cookies, especially, will not be flat. All you need is 1/8th teaspoon.

Cream of tartar can be used in different ways also for example cooking or play dough. For cookies and cream of tartar for soft cookies instead of crunchy. lt can be used as a leavening agent.

I don't recommend this product because they intentionally triple the quantity so you pay more but NO ONE uses it in such a large quantity even over an entire year!!
